A sales funnel is a marketing concept that maps out the journey a customer goes through when making any kind of purchase. This model uses a funnel as an analogy because a large number of potential prospects may be available at the beginning of the sales process, but only some of them actually end up as paying customers.

Your prospects go through different stages of your sales funnel from the first time they learn about your product or service until they actually make a purchase.

You need to have a clear business vision, develop a marketing strategy, and define your target audience before you start building your sales funnel.

Changes Affecting Content Marketing

by Rahimah Sultan

The digital marketing of your products and services has changed drastically in 2019. As you well know, each year, marketing gets more expensive and ever more competitive.

One of the big reasons we are seeing digital marketing change so much is because of the adoption of new technologies, and web saturation. One of the current changes affecting content marketing involves voice search.

SEO for your content marketing is changing to voice search, as more people are using devices like Google Home and Alexa. Other changes affecting content marketing include:

Targeting Micro-Moments

People are checking their mobile phones while in a store ready to purchase an item. They are doing price comparisons, looking up product information, and checking online reviews.

These actions are centered around the micro-moment, the immediate now, and are happening anywhere and anytime.

Generally, people do voice searches when they’re in a hurry. As a marketer, you can use this to your advantage, by targeting the right keywords.

Long-Tail Keywords

Long-tail keywords are best suited to voice searches, as they are more like actual questions people ask.

A long-tail keyword is simply more words combined to mimic people’s speech.

Instead of saying buy dresses, as you would if typing, you’d say buy long denim dresses or buy mini dresses.

Voice searches are more conversational. Wordstream.com and serpstat.com are good keyword tools. Of course you can check online for others and decide which suit your needs and budget.

A Fast-Loading Site

If people leave your site when they’re typing in a search, a slow-loading site is even more detrimental to voice searches. After all, they’re doing voice search because they’re in a hurry.

Be sure your website loads quickly to cut down on the bounce rate.

Knowing Searchers’ Intent

It is important to study what searchers really want when they use your target keywords, whether it’s voice search or text search.

Write your content in a way that answers questions like what, how, when and where.

If your website is based on shoes your keywords should reflect that.

Discuss the type, colors and sizes, how they differ from others and the benefits of owning a pair, and where to purchase them.

Discuss these particular points in your advertising content.

When optimizing your website content for voice SEO or text, what you’re offering needs to match the intent behind the keywords.

Understanding Your Customer

To market successfully you need to know who people are, how they think, and what they want. You must understand your customer.

Create an avatar of your ideal customer. An avatar is a made-up individual that represents your ideal customer. Be as specific as possible; name, age, gender, goals, challenges, etc.

Treat your customer avatar like a real person, and then gear your content directly to their needs and wishes.

Increasing Sales Funnel Generation

Just as with regular text search voice searchers are asking how to do things. Do some keyword research to find out what questions your ideal customer might have and create content that targets those keywords, thus increasing the opportunity to get people to your website.

Then you can start to build a relationship getting them to know, like and trust you which can lead to future sales.

Having A Mobile-Responsive Website

With all the devices used by people searching for information, you know a mobile-responsive website is a must.

People who use voice search are generally using mobile devices. Check your site here.

Finally, you should always test and tweak. Analyze, check your strategy, link building, SEO, and make any needed changes.

You must keep your website and your strategies up to date. By using the suggestions here you will be well on your way to being in step with voice search and the Changes Affecting Content Marketing.

Aspects Of An Internet Sales Funnel

by Rahimah Sultan

A sales funnel refers to the buying process that customers are led through when purchasing products/services. It is divided into several steps, which differ depending on the particular sales model.

The traditional model used marketing to fill the top of the funnel and sales for nurturing leads through to conversion. This model is still used, although customer behavior has changed. This shift is a result of how much research prospective customers do before engaging with you. If you’re selling a product or service, there are different points of contact between you and the buyer. You combine sales with marketing to ensure that qualified leads get personalized attention when necessary.

At the top of your funnel are prospective customers who have decided to connect with you through your lead magnet or sign-up form. Once you have their information, which is usually name and email, you can follow up with them. This starts the process of them getting to know, like and trust you. Now you can begin to tell them about your product/service, because they have opted in to receive more information. As a marketer you have to think about the entire purchasing process from the buyer’s perspective.

To set up a sales funnel you need a lead capture page (LCP), a sales page, and a way to follow up with prospects.

An Internet Sales Funnel is really a marketing framework that represents the stages from your initial contacts to actual sales. It’s basically a way of funneling prospects into your business and building trust. A sales funnel gives you a single place to advertise. Keep in mind these Aspects of An Internet Sales Funnel when setting up your business.

An Internet Sales Funnel

by Rahimah Sultan

Are you totally new to online marketing and have no clue how to start? Some people start out with affiliate marketing as they have not decided what area to focus on or a niche, or even if they want to pursue a business of their own. As an affiliate marketer you will get some experience at advertising online and building a marketing funnel or an internet sales funnel.

Soon you will probably want to consider building a business of your own so that you have total control and make all the income instead of building someone else’s business. With the proper information and training you can do just that. You can learn how to build a full-time, long-term business for next to nothing and have the tools to do so while continuing to be an affiliate marketer.

To conduct your own business online you will need to set up a site such as a blog. To do this choose a domain name and a hosting company. Once your site is set up you will need to advertise to get visitors by using a lead capture page—a way to get people to opt in to your email list. This system then becomes an internet sales funnel. Once you have decided on your product or service you will have this list of interested prospects to sell to. You will need an autoresponder to maintain contact with your list.

You can develop your own product or service and advertise it with your lead capture page (LCP). You may have a physical place of business that you can bring online and make that the focus of your website. Use the business name as your domain name and proceed from there.

You may want to use drop shipping for your physical products, or you may want to be a reseller for others and need contracts. I used this for step-by-step assistance with setting up An Internet Sales Funnel using a blog and tying everything together for business.

A Sales Funnel for Your Business

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

In James Stone’s article, Building an Internet Sales Funnel for Your Products, he starts with the question, “What is a sales funnel?” In his discussion he points out the benefits of setting up a sales funnel for your business. A sales funnel, which can be used in almost any business, gives you a single place to advertise, and you only need one list, one blog, and a single squeeze page.

You need a place (funnel) to advertise that has one entry point for all your products and/or affiliate products. Once people are on your list, they will find out about everything you have to offer, and hopefully become a customer at some point.

You need a WordPress blog that will be working for you all the time to bring in organic traffic, which is free traffic. You use an autoresponder and your squeeze page, which builds your list, to automatically let your prospects know everything you have to offer.

A sales funnel for your business is a single blog for which you write useful material to attract internet traffic. Posting quality material to your blog on a regular basis brings this free traffic to your site (blog).

Doc Stone says, “You know, it will be a lot of work at first to get this built. But once it’s built, life gets a lot easier. You really can spend just a few hours a day tweaking your system and doing your marketing.” (Read Article)

Internet Sales Funnel

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

The concept of the sales funnel begins at the very start of a marketing phase where you are trying to capture the interest of as many visitors and prospective customers as you can. Some techniques used for this are:

**Writing good and targeted content and articles on your blog

**Building a list using email signups through your blog by offering free gifts

**Using social networks to signup people in order to be able to broadcast your special offers or latest blog post

**Using a landing page and/or sales pages with a call to action (signup, buy, etc) and many more.

Before even considering the construction of your Internet Sales Funnel, you will need a product or service to offer to sell to your visitors.

These can be physical products, your own digital creations such as eBooks, videos or software and also things such as membership programs or consultation services. If you don’t have your own product you can use affiliate programs such as Clickbank, Amazon or affiliate programs available that you can use in conjunction with blogging from your website.

It is very important that before choosing a product to sell that you try to identify a niche which people are demanding and then supply this need to them.

An Internet Sales Funnel is really a marketing framework which represents all of the stages from your initial leads to actual sales.

Ezine writer Kate Franklin states, “Basically a sales funnel is a way of funneling prospects into your business and building trust.”  Click here to read her article.
