Four Affiliate Marketing Tips For Success In 2019
by Rahimah Sultan

Affiliate marketing is still alive and well. Even if you’re just finding out about this business model in 2019, there’s still a lot of money to be made.
Although becoming a successful affiliate marketer is getting tougher with so much competition, there are things you can do to give yourself an edge and a fighting chance.
Too many people quit too quickly. (This is to your advantage.) Now, let’s discuss four affiliate marketing tips for success in 2019.
PICKING THE RIGHT NICHE
You may not even know what a niche is or how to pronounce it. In marketing, it’s what you choose to focus on or your area of interest. If you pick the wrong one or too many, it will cause you to lose a lot of time, energy and money.
You need to create an authority site or blog based on what is right for you. Pick something you love, so there will be less chance of you running out of topics to discuss or getting bored.
Don’t even think about making easy money as a reason for focusing on certain niche products to promote, as no such thing exists. You’ll have to put in the work in order to reap the benefits.
Patience is a must. If after say, six to nine months you see no progress, it may be time to get out and cut your losses and try again. If that happens, don’t give up on your goals if one blog or site fails. Keep learning and moving forward.
That’s why it’s so important to choose the right niche.
Usually the starting point for earning is just over $1.00 during the first six months.
You should work on increasing any amount you make each month. Have a good understanding of what it means to become an affiliate marketer, and keep working at it until you’re making the money you want.
PICKING THE RIGHT AFFILIATE PRODUCTS
As an affiliate marketer, you don’t have to develop your own products. Affiliate marketing allows you to sell other people’s products on your site and make commissions, if they have an affiliate program. So, your business will be selling other people’s products and making money.
Before deciding to promote a product, you should know if the product is selling well and if it is new. Amazon will let you know by ratings and reviews.
If a product has just launched, and you know what you’re doing, you can write a review of it. If the review is ranked on the first page of Google as soon as possible, then you may have struck gold.
If you’re a beginner and want to monetize your website, using one of the following three programs is a good place to start:
Amazon
Amazon is a global brand that is recognized by everyone, and people trust it. There are thousands of products to promote. You make money on anything you sell, although they don’t have a Paypal option to get paid.
ShareASale
Share-a-sale is a network so there are many companies that use it to sell products. They have a search feature for finding something related to your niche. Once you find what you are looking for, you can join as an affiliate for that one specific product/item/service. They also do not have a Paypal option to get paid.
ClickBank
Clickbank is one of the more popular networks and has been around for quite some time. It has recently cleaned up and stopped accepting junk products for promotion.
The programs mentioned above are 100% Free to join, easy to use and have great commission payouts when done correctly.
A few things to be aware of in affiliate marketing:
a) Use independent affiliate programs. You can do a Google search.
Type in “your blog topic+ affiliate program” to find programs or networks for which you can apply.
b) Have a site up and running
c) Never pay to join an affiliate program
HOW TO PROMOTE YOUR PRODUCTS
1) The first thing you need to do is set up a website (blog).
2) Get traffic to your blog. Getting traffic is key so learn how to craft content that gets you ranked in search engines and also use at least 1 social media platform to get even more traffic.
3) You need to find products to promote, which has already been discussed.
4) Learn how to properly build your blog’s authority & search engine rankings by using quality content that you’ll create for your site.
Your content marketing strategy is your “why.” Why are you creating content, who you are helping, and how can you help them in a way that no one else can.
YOUR BACKUP PLAN
What if one day the company you are affiliating for disappeared along with your unpaid commissions in an hour? It has happened.
Such is the nature of affiliate marketing. You do not own the product or the rights to it nor do you have any say in the matter.
That is why it is very important for you to have a backup plan.
Although this rarely happens, don’t build your whole business around 1 product or one company.
That’s why it is vital you take the time to pick a good product to promote and not just what’s “hot” for a week.
Make sure you include a whole range of products that you review and promote so that your business will always be safe.
There are many ways to make income to finance your business. Make sure to learn all the ways you can to have multiple streams of income.
So, you need to pick your niche, choose the right affiliate products to promote that fit that niche, promote your products, and have a backup plan in case of unforeseen circumstances.

Affiliate Marketing Allows You the Freedom to Work From Home

Advertising Disclosure: Marketing Success Review may be compensated in exchange for featured placement of certain sponsored products and services, or your clicking on links posted on this website. There is no expense to you.
The rise of the internet has had a profound effect on all our lives, radically altering how we live and work. In our on-demand society, one of the single most important benefits has been the ability to work from any place in the world and digitally earn an income. This idea appeals to scores of people who are frustrated with the 9-to-5 life and are seeking ways to free themselves from corporate responsibility.
You can start or boost your business using the internet and various platforms. A good place to begin is with affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing allows you the freedom to work from home.
What Is Affiliate Marketing? When you sell anything for anyone else and you receive a commission for it, you’re marketing as an affiliate. You’re independent and on your own, not just a salesperson working for that company. Although there are no limits that need to be met, the more you sell the more you earn. You can effectively earn money by marketing for many companies at one time. There are no limitations and you don’t need to create your own products or services to earn money selling anything in this format.
Affiliate marketing success isn’t easy. Unless you have a significant audience or a platform, selling anything will require a substantial investment of both your time and money. You can’t do it without traffic – someone to see your offers.
You have to get people to care about you. You have to get them emotionally invested in you before you can sell them anything. Don’t try to sell something right away, at least not until people become fully vested in you and your personal journey.
You need to create a diversified platform. If you have a blog, don’t focus solely on that. Build a Facebook Group, an online forum, and other ways that you can stay connected with people.
Once you’ve built your platforms, develop and nurture your audience. Connect with them on social media channels. Respond to their emails. Engage with them in comments. Make it easy for them to reach you. You need to connect with your audience and develop that relationship over time. They need to get to know and trust you.
When you’re ready, search for the right product or company that’s relevant to your audience.
If you’ve taken the time to build an email list, you can use that opportunity to survey your subscribers. Ask them, specifically, what they’re most interested in. The answers can allow you to laser-focus your affiliate offers in the right direction.
When building an email list, you need to offer something in return. Use email providers like InfusionSoft, MailChimp, Aweber, or any number of others, to send out the email to a survey. Survey Monkey is good for building your survey. Determine the best thing to offer and be sure to get clear on what your audience needs to do and what you’ll give them in exchange.
It can be a free cheatsheet, a downloadable how-to ebook, or some other useful item.
You then need to apply to related networks such as ClickBank, CommissionJunction, Rakuten’s LinkShare, and Impact Radius, which are some of the larger affiliate networks, or numerous others.
Just know that you must submit an application to most of these networks to be accepted. Once you’re accepted, you’re often required to apply directly to the merchant afterward. So there are two layers or gates that you need to bypass. That’s also why it’s important to build up your platform and create that emotional bridge between yourself and your audience before attempting to promote anything to them.
Now you need to build content to promote. You can use countless mediums of which your blog is the most important. Build content that delivers massive value and that is engaging.
Every single network or merchant will provide you with specific links that you can use to promote whatever it is you want to sell. Be sure to study the details of any offer that you decide to use. Then, build out your affiliate links and ensure that the sales and clicks are registering to your account. You can use URL shorteners like Bitly or one of these to make the links more manageable in terms of length.
Affiliate marketing allows you the freedom to work from home. So be persistent and don’t give up.

Internet Marketing Without a Website
by Rahimah Sultan
If you want to market online and don’t want to build and/or maintain a website, there are plenty of opportunities to earn money online as an affiliate marketer – no website or blog required. Following are 3 options.
Forums
Whatever your niche, you should interact with like-minded individuals on forums and blogs. In forums you can put your affiliate link in the signature line, and on blogs place it in the comments.
When starting out in forums, you must follow the rules which will be stated, and you must interact and add helpful content. Don’t start mindlessly posting your link. That is spamming and you will be blocked.
Some forums don’t allow affiliate links in the signature, especially if you’re a new member. So, you can purchase a domain for your affiliate link. That way when a visitor clicks on your domain it will redirect to your affiliate link. This makes you look very professional, and you can use the domain in other places as well so that people get to know you. The more active you are in the forum, the more likely people are to view your affiliate link/signature. Warrior Forum, Digital Point, WickedFire, and Marketing Checkpoint are affiliate marketing forums.
For an affordable domain provider I recommend GoDaddy or Namecheap.
Hub Pages
HubPages is a popular revenue-sharing site that’s a great option to try your hand at affiliate marketing in a subject with which you’re familiar. Users create ‘Hubs’ that are filled with useful content, videos, polls, and other category-focused information. You’ll have hundreds of topics to choose from, ranging from art and design to weather.
Besides flexibility in sharing, HubPages has affiliate programs built right into their platform. As a ‘Hubber,’ you can easily take part in the HubPages Amazon Program and their eBay Program. This means you can create hubs that are almost instantly set up to be monetized!
Since HubPages is built on user-generated content, the more helpful your content the better your chances of attracting an audience. As your audience grows, you’ll stand a greater chance of making money if you’re sharing genuinely helpful content that links to products readers will like.
Note: Some areas do not allow affiliating with Amazon, due to multiple tax rates within the state.
Social Media
Social media offers a free way to share your affiliate link. You can place the link in your Bio, then create valuable content for your followers, and encourage them to visit your Bio link.
You can do this on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, to name a few. But remember, since you don’t technically own your social media accounts, you must follow the rules of each site regarding affiliate links.
No matter where you decide to promote affiliate links, you should always provide valuable content first and foremost and only include affiliate links when it makes sense. It’s also a good idea to use affiliate links only occasionally. Not everything you create should be for the sole purpose of making a sale.
Of course there are plenty of opportunities to earn income online without building and/or maintaining a website, but forums, HubPages, and social media offer you a great place to start.

Generate Passive Income With Successful Affiliate Marketing
by Rahimah Sultan
The definition of affiliate marketing is getting paid a commission from an online retailer for traffic or sales generated from your referrals.
If you are new to online marketing, the following should help you to generate passive income with successful affiliate marketing.
The three-step process required is:
1. You recommending a product or service to your followers
2. Your followers purchasing the product or service using your affiliate link
3. You getting paid a commission for the sales made using your affiliate link
Some advertising would have you believe that you can make lots of money for doing nothing. But the truth is more complicated than that.
There are seven steps you must take to avoid becoming overwhelmed and overloaded.
Now, let’s cover the first four initial steps that need to be taken.
Find Your Niche (or neesh)
The first thing you need to do is choose a niche to give focus to your business, help you with content, and help make it easier to create targeted marketing campaigns.
When choosing a niche consider:
1. What you’re passionate about and already have knowledge of
2. Whether your knowledge on the topic is enough to write at least 100 blog posts
(for search engine optimization or asserting your authority)
3. Oversaturation in the niche
4. Whether or not there is money in the niche
Build a Website
Then you need a website and a blog with the blog being the main focus of your site. Your website should also include several pages:
1. About to inform people a little about you and your business
2. Contact for sharing all the information you want to share with your readers, advertisers and
potential partners
3. Disclaimer if your site is monetized
4. Privacy Policy to let users know if you collect information and how you use it
5. Terms of Service limiting your liability in case of misuse of information or services provided
on your site and detailing user responsibilities regarding copyrights and trademarks
6. Custom 404 Page
7. Advertise if you plan on selling on-site ads, include a page for advertisers with information
about available spots, monthly views, audience demographics, and a contact form
These pages are important to build trust with your audience.
Now that you have your website, it’s time to create good-quality content.
Create Quality Content
There are different requirements for joining affiliate programs. Some networks and programs want you to have already established content, site traffic, and monthly views at a certain level before accepting you as an affiliate.
Be sure to read the eligibility requirements for the specific networks and programs you’re considering before you apply.
You should have at least 5 strong posts already on your site with future posts scheduled.
Grow Your Email List
Email is still the #1 communication channel for marketing. An easy way to grow your email list is by adding a popup to your site for signups.
Now that you’ve taken care of the first four steps, it’s time for step 5, choosing your affiliate products / services.
Choose Affiliate Products to Promote
Now that you’ve chosen your niche you need affiliate products that fit and relate to your content.
You need to join an affiliate program and choose the product and / or services you want to promote. Then move on to step six which is joining an affiliate marketing network.
Join an Affiliate Marketing Network
If there is something that you already use you can promote that. If not you can make a list of things and do a Google search for related affiliate products and programs.
You can promote products that fill a need, those that your audience wants to know about, and products from others in your niche.
Before signing up, thoroughly research everything. Do not promote products you don’t use or know nothing about.
Lastly, you need to track the performance of your affiliate producers.
Track Your Results
Track your affiliate links to help you understand which products perform better with your audience. This allows you to provide better products to them in the future, and you can also use this knowledge to provide them with better content. When you do your audience will keep returning.
You will want to disguise your affiliate links so readers will click on them.
