3 Technical Aspects of Setting Up An Internet Sales Funnel

by Rahimah Sultan

Advertising Disclosure: Marketing Success Review may be compensated in exchange for featured placement of certain sponsored products and services, or your clicking on links posted on this website.

Although there are all kinds of variations, the bottom line is that a sales funnel gives you a single place to advertise. You only need a single list of prospects, a single blog, a single squeeze page, or LCP. You need one place to advertise.

If you have twenty-five different products, you don’t need to try advertising each one. You need a funnel with one defined entry point.

Once people sign up to your list, in time they will find out about everything you have to offer and find something they like and become a buyer/client. You may have two lists – one for those who have purchased and the other for those who have not. But, to start you only need one list.

Building a list is one of the most important things you need to do.

Owning a WordPress dot org blog is the way to get organic (free) traffic. You can place your lead capture form on it and all your products and/or your affiliate merchandise.

Here are three technical aspects of setting up an Internet sales funnel. You need a:

1) Lead Capture Page (LCP)

A lead capture page is a web page you send your traffic to; make your main purpose clear, which is to click on the button and enter their information. Don’t have distractions on the page that keep them from seeing the call to action. You can do an online search for LCP examples to get an idea of how they should look. Your LCP will direct prospects to your sales page.

2) Sales Page

Your sales page will provide a solution to prospects’ problems. You can use a video (bridge video) for an introduction where they can see you. Introduce yourself, relate to them, introduce them to the solution, and then send them to the sales page. Present a sense of urgency; limited time or limited space to bring them to the call to action. You can use the video before or after the capture page. It depends on what and how you’re promoting.

You might be promoting a webinar that shows the benefits of your product or service. In which case, you will have used an LCP to get signups, and then present an offer at the end of the webinar.

Make the bridge video short, concise, and to the point. It’s used to build a rapport with the audience. Then send them to a sales video which will be longer and presents the solutions and benefits to problems they may be experiencing.

The next step is sending them to the sales page, which offers more details of your offer or product. Show your prospects the advantages of having or using it. Discuss the main points in more detail. Don’t list every little detail or feature or button; just the main points that relate to your audience or prospects. If you’re selling for someone other than yourself, the sales pages are usually already done for you.

3) Follow Up

You need a way to contact prospects; an email service to send all the information you’re obtaining from the LCP. This is the backbone of your funnel. This is where you send all the information from the capture page. You can search the Internet for such services. You want to continue to build rapport with the list of people you now have. You want to continue to build on your interaction with them. Do this with an email service which provides an autoresponder. This is the backbone of your sales funnel.

With an autoresponder, you can set up follow-up emails for whatever you wish and for as long as you want. You can set these messages to go out at certain intervals and for whatever period of time you wish. If you have something special to offer at any point, you can send a broadcast just for that.

You’ll be well on your way to online business success using these 3 Technical Aspects of Setting Up An Internet Sales Funnel: A lead capture page, a sales page, and an autoresponder.

3 Basic Internet Marketing Tips

by Rahimah Sultan

The internet is a massive marketplace with all kinds of people – buyers, sellers, marketers, specialists, etc. Your business has unlimited potential to grow when it targets the internet as its market. If you’re a business owner with a website, you’ll want to use Internet marketing. If you don’t, your website is almost useless. Here are three basic Internet marketing tips to keep in mind.

Be sure you have a blog

Blog marketing will greatly boost your connection with potential customers. It will give you the ability to get feedback about your company, products and/or services and communicate with them through the comments section.

If you’re just thinking about setting up a blog, you need to determine exactly why you want to blog and write down your goals. Next on the list should be a step by step guideline that will accomplish those goals.

Then you should learn everything you can from experienced bloggers and determine your own path. Copying others never works. Just use them as examples.

With a static website there are minimal updates, not much new information, and not much customer interaction. A blog makes your website more reader friendly, and Google friendly. Google loves new information. When you post new articles regularly you will get picked up by search engines, of which Google is the most popular.

Make sure your website looks the way your target audience expects

Don’t waste time or money on conceptualizing what your site should look like. Just try and get ideas from successful ones who are in the same market and business as you. Learn from them, and create your own familiar design.

A wisely designed website is the way to go. It doesn’t have to be fancy and perfect. It just has to appeal to your target market’s taste. For example, if your website is about targeting prospects for your jewelry business, make sure it reflects such.

Don’t stop with a website

Many business owners think that once a website is set up, it will run on its own and function properly as it’s supposed to. Setting up your website is only step one – the foundation. After you’ve created and established an online presence, you have to make sure to follow up with other online business needs, which include your blog, search engine optimization (SEO), and social network integration.

In today’s ever-changing online marketplace it’s not enough to just have a website. Your business requires marketing strategies the same as an offline business. For marketing success you must engage in effective promotion.

Whether you’re an established business online or off, or you’re working from home on your own, Internet marketing requires investment of time, energy, and money. There is no free ride. So, make sure you’re visible in the online marketplace to ensure you have a chance at success.

In summary, be sure you have a blog, make sure your website meets your prospects expectations, and don’t stop with just a website. These three basic internet marketing tips are a starting point.

Four Types of Articles for Internet Marketers

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

We all know that blogs can be for personal or business use, and the reason for blogging is to get people to your site to see what you are offering so you can make sales. The type of content used is determined by the purpose of your blog. This is an overview of Four Types of Articles for Internet Marketers: Junk, Product, Information, and Viral.
Junk
A junk article is only fodder and is of inferior quality that contains readily available material used to supply a heavy demand for gossip or some other such thing.

Product
You use a product article to describe what you are selling and how it is used. In order for this type of article to be effective, you must state how the particular product can solve a problem for your potential customer.

Informational
An information article requires a bit of work, and you can use it to maximize the quality of traffic to your site. This type has a narrow topic based on the keywords for your site, which draws in a particular kind of prospect. If you have used SEO correctly, someone searching for something to solve a particular problem can end up on your site and become a customer.

A WordPress blog in the root of your site is the way to go. You can use an SEO plugin like the All in One SEO Pack that allows you to optimize each article and each page on your blog for particular keywords. If you do one article per week focusing on one of your site’s long-tailed keywords, in 52 weeks you can get an amazing amount of organic (free) traffic to your site. Be sure to include a call to action, such as Click Here for More Information, in the article. Then make your call-to-action a clickable link that leads to a squeeze page, a sales page, an affiliate link or wherever you want to take them.

Viral
A viral article is one that takes advantage of trending news events, funny videos or something of that nature, and is used mainly for getting links as opposed to quality traffic.

Whether you choose one or all four types of articles, this overview of Four Types of Articles for Internet Marketers gives you some ideas for future posts. How To Build Backlinks

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

While doing some online research I came across an article on backlinks. The author, Lee Joseph LaCasse, discusses how to build backlinks when surfing. He details how to research a product you want to buy, by using the Firefox browser that has a page rank add-on, and then leave a comment on that site. You can then determine the page rank before leaving a comment which points back to your blog. Make sure what you say is relevant to the actual article. Most of the time the webmaster will approve it because that is a possible sale.

You can also get another link by leaving an anchor text embedded in your comment. Building back links this way accomplishes two things at one time. If you do this weekly your number of backlinks will quickly increase. The author also suggests a way to get backlinks without doing a Google search.

As you know, backlinks to your blog can get you higher rankings in the search engines which means there are more eyeballs on your site and more prospective buyers for your products and services.

You can read how to build backlinks by surfing, for more details.

4 Steps To A Successful Internet Business

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

Having a successful internet business is simply a matter of understanding how things work, and applying that knowledge. Following are 4 steps to a successful internet business.

Find something you feel is a good business opportunity

You can search the internet for all sorts of business ideas and opportunities. Searching on any search engine with the keywords Work At Home, Business Opportunities, Home Based Business, Affiliate Programs, Make Money Online, etc., will produce 1000’s of results. Affiliate programs are good business opportunities because the ONLY thing you need to do to run your internet business is to market your affiliate link. With a traditional business you have to deal with inventory, storage, packing, shipping, complaints, returns, phone calls, emails, checks and credit cards just to name a few! With affiliate programs, once someone has clicked on your affiliate link your only job is getting the next person to click on it.

Get your own webpage

You want to put your internet business on a webpage of your own. A webpage is like a store front. It projects an air of professionalism. Think about it. Do you feel the same about buying from a vendor on the street as you do about buying from a person in a store? They’re both vendors, but you’re more trusting of the person who has a store than you are of a street vendor.

Your webpage does not have to be fancy. If you only have a brief description of what your webpage is about along with individual descriptions of your product or products people will respect that. If it’s an affiliate program you have decided upon, simply put a BRIEF description of what is being offered along with your affiliate link. Do not disclose too much in your description because people might think they know what it’s all about and not click on your link. You want to let your affiliate website do all the selling for you. These sites are professionally designed to maximize the number of people who buy or join so a brief description, just enough to spike their curiosity, is sufficient.

Get your own blog

Get your own blog and make one post a day. A blog, short for, “Web Log,” is a great way to establish yourself as an authority figure on whatever topic you decide. As people return to read your daily articles, they will eventually come to view you as an authority on whatever your blog is about. They’ll eventually develop confidence in what you are saying, and will begin to trust you. As a result some people will check out your webpage to see what you have to offer them, and people tend to buy more from people they know and trust. Their confidence in you will be an additional factor that will compel people to buy from you. There are many places online that will host and let you set up your blog for free, although it’s best to have your own blog and not a free one.

Write and submit articles to article submission sites

This is the most important. This is how you’ll get FREE advertising. People are searching the internet for free information. When you submit your articles online, the search engines will eventually find them and will spider every word. When people do a search using keywords or phrases that are in your articles, they will turn up in the search results. So, be sure to insert highly searched-for-keywords and phrases into your articles. You’ll need to include your bio at the bottom of all your articles. Your bio (known as your resource box) will contain a brief description about who you are along with a link to your website. An example is: Jane Smith is the owner of yoursite.com. Jane helps people to work at home using various business opportunities that include affiliate programs. If you desire your own home based business visit (insert your complete site address including http://)

The more articles you write and submit, the higher the chances are of your articles keywords and phrases showing up on search results. The more links you have pointing back to your website, the higher your website page rank will be in the search engines, meaning the higher up you are in the search results the more likely your page will be seen. So don’t stop writing and submitting articles. But, they must have quality informative content. Take your time and check your spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, etc. No one will take what you have to say seriously if you don’t write correctly.

Having a successful internet business is simply a matter of understanding how things work, and applying that knowledge. It does not take any special skill or any great intelligence. If you follow these steps, you cannot fail. The most important thing, as with anything in life, is persistence.

E-zine Marketing is One Option for Advertising

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

E-zine marketing is one option for advertising. One common mistake that many new web site owners make when they start their online business is thinking that lots of people are going to visit their site. They spend money for that professional look, add all the relevant information and then sit back and wait for the visitors. But they don’t come.

Why? You need a marketing campaign. There are several ways to go about this.

One option is to write articles or have them written for you and then submit them to paid or free e-zines. Of course, you must find the right e-zines or web sites to post your articles to. Make sure they are top ranked and not fly-by-night ones who will take your money and not publish. A vast majority of ezines are a waste of time and money.

A few points to keep in mind are:

1. You get what you pay for.
2. You must offer something that relates to the niche market.
3. Target your advertising to your audience.
4. The best things are not always free.

Where you should advertise depends on your product or service. So, do your homework before you begin your campaign.
