3 Basic Internet Marketing Tips

by Rahimah Sultan

The internet is a massive marketplace with all kinds of people – buyers, sellers, marketers, specialists, etc. Your business has unlimited potential to grow when it targets the internet as its market. If you’re a business owner with a website, you’ll want to use Internet marketing. If you don’t, your website is almost useless. Here are three basic Internet marketing tips to keep in mind.

Be sure you have a blog

Blog marketing will greatly boost your connection with potential customers. It will give you the ability to get feedback about your company, products and/or services and communicate with them through the comments section.

If you’re just thinking about setting up a blog, you need to determine exactly why you want to blog and write down your goals. Next on the list should be a step by step guideline that will accomplish those goals.

Then you should learn everything you can from experienced bloggers and determine your own path. Copying others never works. Just use them as examples.

With a static website there are minimal updates, not much new information, and not much customer interaction. A blog makes your website more reader friendly, and Google friendly. Google loves new information. When you post new articles regularly you will get picked up by search engines, of which Google is the most popular.

Make sure your website looks the way your target audience expects

Don’t waste time or money on conceptualizing what your site should look like. Just try and get ideas from successful ones who are in the same market and business as you. Learn from them, and create your own familiar design.

A wisely designed website is the way to go. It doesn’t have to be fancy and perfect. It just has to appeal to your target market’s taste. For example, if your website is about targeting prospects for your jewelry business, make sure it reflects such.

Don’t stop with a website

Many business owners think that once a website is set up, it will run on its own and function properly as it’s supposed to. Setting up your website is only step one – the foundation. After you’ve created and established an online presence, you have to make sure to follow up with other online business needs, which include your blog, search engine optimization (SEO), and social network integration.

In today’s ever-changing online marketplace it’s not enough to just have a website. Your business requires marketing strategies the same as an offline business. For marketing success you must engage in effective promotion.

Whether you’re an established business online or off, or you’re working from home on your own, Internet marketing requires investment of time, energy, and money. There is no free ride. So, make sure you’re visible in the online marketplace to ensure you have a chance at success.

In summary, be sure you have a blog, make sure your website meets your prospects expectations, and don’t stop with just a website. These three basic internet marketing tips are a starting point.

4 Steps for Internet Marketing

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

In order to accomplish anything you must take the first step toward it. Consider what needs to be done and make a plan. You lay out your goal and the steps to reach it. It is like putting one foot in front of the other in order to walk, run or sell… you get my drift. Here are four steps for internet marketing to get you started.

Say you want to start an online business and think it will not work for you because you do not know how to sell. Do not let that stop you. Do what you are good at and learn the rest as you build your business. That’s like putting one foot in front of the other, taking one step at a time while gaining momentum.

Set up a blog and write about what you know. The articles should be about your area of expertise and how to do what you do. Good content is the backbone of marketing. Your content should provide value, solve an existing problem that people may be experiencing, create connections, form relationships, and build an audience.

Add a call to action with a link to be clicked for more information or to buy or to follow.

Use an autoresponder to create a mailing list of the people who visit your site so you can connect with them to provide help, solve problems, and continue to deliver great content. This does not involve selling.

You can be social by using a couple of the major social media platforms, which will in turn get you visitors without you selling direct. Always be about helping people and you will gain customers.

So, do what you are good at and use these tips as your first steps toward long-term online success. To summarize:

Step 1) Set up your blog
Step 2) Provide content
Step 3) Add call to action
Step 4) Create mailing list

This is selling without always being direct. Once you have a list of prospects, you can email them every so often with your offers. Use these Four Steps for Internet Marketing for your long-term business success.

. Here are some internet marketing tips for beginners.

Start by learning what you need to know and slowly grow your business. The big earners did not build their businesses overnight. Go slowly, put in time and effort, and have patience. Do it right in the beginning and do not take shortcuts that will eventually backfire.

You can study and learn forever and never get anyplace until you make a plan and put it into action. Just start and do something every day, to reach your goal, while you are learning.

Know that you will have to spend some money for the necessary tools you will need to run your business. Although there are a lot of free means for marketing, some of them may not be beneficial.

10 Essential Tips In Email Marketing

Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

This is an article by Shirley Brown.

Email marketing is used when you obtain the email addresses of visitors to your blog or website by using an opt-in form.

The opt-in form is an area where you request the name and email address of a reader in exchange for a report or information article, usually offered free and as an addition to a sales page.

Once email addresses are procured, subsequent emails are sent, at various intervals, to the reader offering further free information and options to subscribe to membership sites or opportunities to receive further support and advice on a specific topic.

Email marketing is the sending of the periodic emails promoting further benefits.

Top tips when carrying out this type of marketing are:

1. Straight forward opt-in form – make sure the reader knows exactly how to request information using simple boxes and instructions such as one box for their name and another for their email address

2. Opt-out information – always reassure the reader that, should they wish to be removed from a mailing list, this is done without question and immediately

3. Be up front – provide your subscribers with all information regarding subsequent emails and frequency, what they can expect from you and what they will get or benefit from by your emails and information provided

4. Always provide a “call to action” – readers need to be instructed on what to do next so always request a call to action and what will be received by the reader once done

5. Easy reading – make your information easy to read with a basic format, titles, subtitles and key words so a reader can scan the information and get the important facts

6. Request feedback – ask the reader what they want and request feedback and comments on your content and reports. If it doesn’ deliver as promised, ask for advice on improving

7. Regularity – provide updates and information on a regular basis. Your readers will learn to expect newsletters, emails, and so on, on a regular basis so will not be surprised when they receive subsequent emails

8. Varied media – remember there are various ways to access the internet and many people use desktops, laptops, mobile apps, tablets to name a few so the layout of your information is important. Check the content on various devices and make amendments to make it attractive to the eye if possible

9. Remain approachable – let your own character and personality come through in your writing and you will gain association with your readers. If you stay human you can be viewed as a reliable source of information

10. Add value – make sure everything you say provides your reader with a valuable experience such as providing tips, lists, how to achieve something and worthwhile reading.

Focused Internet Marketing

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

Focused Internet Marketing is simply remaining focused on what you’re doing whether it’s sending out Ads, writing an article, building a website or whatever. When writing an article for your blog you finish much quicker if you keep your focus. Having a routine is helpful. One of the things to consider is managing your energy. You’ll do your best “thinking” work when you have the most energy.

I read an article that lays out eight effective strategies to this end that include:

* Managing your energy not your time
* Preparing the night before
* Not opening email until noon
* Turning your phone off and leaving it in another room, and more.

The author references a report from the World Health Organization regarding life expectancy which turns out to be 24,820 days and he states “Once I realized this, I started thinking about how I could develop a better morning routine. I still have a lot to learn, but here are some strategies that you can use to get the most out of your 25,000 mornings.” He also says “What you do each morning is an indicator of how you approach your entire day.”

Do consider these tips for your Focused Internet Marketing.

A Home Business With Affiliate Marketing

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

One of the easiest ways to make money from home is through affiliate marketing. There are lots of companies online looking for ways to build their name (brand) while increasing their income.

Company Branding Through Affiliate Marketing

Branding through advertising can be very successful and incredibly high-priced. There are many companies willing to spend lots of money on advertising, and they are even more willing to spend that money on advertising that will really work well for them.

Affiliate Marketing Online From Home

When doing affiliate marketing online from home, the understanding is for you to place the company’s Ad on your site and you get paid a commission when there is a sale. The Ad that you will place on your site will be designed by the company. If a visitor clicks on the Ad and buys, you get paid whatever commission you agreed to with the company. Now, the sales have increased for the company, and you get money, as an affiliate marketer, for posting that Ad on your site. Both parties benefit.

Traditional sources for advertising such as TV, radio, newspapers, and the Internet can be very expensive. The advertiser always hopes to make the money back from increased sales of merchandise and/or services. Advertisers are going to pay for the Ad space, regardless of the number of sales. The one who runs the Ads is the only one who gains from this practice.

Selling Other People’s Products to Make Money from Home

Now, how do you get people to your Web site or blog? And, why should anyone go through your site to get to another company just so that you can make a commission?

The first thing you need to do is market your Web site or blog (weblog). Since the trend has been toward Internet blogs to get people interested in what you and others have to say, you have the perfect means for advertising. Just place the company’s Ads on your blog to increase recognition of the company site. If what they offer is similar to the information on your blog, i.e., there is some commonality, then you have the perfect opportunity to turn some of your visitors into customers.

Many Online sites are on the whole, gateways to online shopping malls, which are simply affiliate advertising sources where people visit and find what they’re looking for in one place. Although Web surfers do take the time to search for what they want online, there are those who prefer finding everything, basically, in one location.

Your earning capacity from affiliate marketing depends on the kind of Web site you have and the amount of traffic you receive to your site. To maximize your potential to make serious money from affiliate marketing, you can become affiliated with very successful companies, which offer a high commission arrangement or you can become affiliated with several different companies.

Using Article Directories To Make Money Online

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

Making money with articles includes using article directories. Article Directories are websites that house free articles.

The articles are usually put there as a promotion method by whomever owns the copyright. Each article has the owners byline so you know who wrote it or who owns it.

Making Money With Article Directories

Article directories are great places to put your articles so they’ll make you money. This method allows  people who are interested in your product or service to see it. You’ll be viewed as an expert, and they’ll visit your website. If you can’t write or don’t have any knowledge on the subject you are promoting—for example, an affiliate site—you can always hire a writer.

Quality money-making articles written by someone else can be expensive up front, but they’ll pay for themselves either through affiliate sales or selling your own services.

Say you’re an accountant working from home. You write an article and place it in article directories. People who are looking for that subject will read your article, see that you have knowledge and skill that is needed to do a job for them, and visit your website or contact you via e-mail. Your article just gained you a new client who may use your services regularly, but will definitely give you a nice profit at least once.

Since you have posted in a free article directory, others who have affiliate websites about accounting will use your article for their website. Since they must attach your byline (resource box) to it, you’ll have even more exposure for every website that re-posts your article and you’ll benefit from the traffic they get to their website.

Many Article Directories

There are numerous article directories. Using article directories to make money online is a great way to get your products or services seen. Placing a copy of your articles in some of the top directories will eventually help to bring more traffic and customers to your website, which will lead to new customers and more profit.
