Changes Affecting Content Marketing
by Rahimah Sultan
The digital marketing of your products and services has changed drastically in 2019. As you well know, each year, marketing gets more expensive and ever more competitive.
One of the big reasons we are seeing digital marketing change so much is because of the adoption of new technologies, and web saturation. One of the current changes affecting content marketing involves voice search.
SEO for your content marketing is changing to voice search, as more people are using devices like Google Home and Alexa. Other changes affecting content marketing include:
Targeting Micro-Moments
People are checking their mobile phones while in a store ready to purchase an item. They are doing price comparisons, looking up product information, and checking online reviews.
These actions are centered around the micro-moment, the immediate now, and are happening anywhere and anytime.
Generally, people do voice searches when they’re in a hurry. As a marketer, you can use this to your advantage, by targeting the right keywords.
Long-Tail Keywords
Long-tail keywords are best suited to voice searches, as they are more like actual questions people ask.
A long-tail keyword is simply more words combined to mimic people’s speech.
Instead of saying buy dresses, as you would if typing, you’d say buy long denim dresses or buy mini dresses.
Voice searches are more conversational. Wordstream.com and serpstat.com are good keyword tools. Of course you can check online for others and decide which suit your needs and budget.
A Fast-Loading Site
If people leave your site when they’re typing in a search, a slow-loading site is even more detrimental to voice searches. After all, they’re doing voice search because they’re in a hurry.
Be sure your website loads quickly to cut down on the bounce rate.
Knowing Searchers’ Intent
It is important to study what searchers really want when they use your target keywords, whether it’s voice search or text search.
Write your content in a way that answers questions like what, how, when and where.
If your website is based on shoes your keywords should reflect that.
Discuss the type, colors and sizes, how they differ from others and the benefits of owning a pair, and where to purchase them.
Discuss these particular points in your advertising content.
When optimizing your website content for voice SEO or text, what you’re offering needs to match the intent behind the keywords.
Understanding Your Customer
To market successfully you need to know who people are, how they think, and what they want. You must understand your customer.
Create an avatar of your ideal customer. An avatar is a made-up individual that represents your ideal customer. Be as specific as possible; name, age, gender, goals, challenges, etc.
Treat your customer avatar like a real person, and then gear your content directly to their needs and wishes.
Increasing Sales Funnel Generation
Just as with regular text search voice searchers are asking how to do things. Do some keyword research to find out what questions your ideal customer might have and create content that targets those keywords, thus increasing the opportunity to get people to your website.
Then you can start to build a relationship getting them to know, like and trust you which can lead to future sales.
Having A Mobile-Responsive Website
With all the devices used by people searching for information, you know a mobile-responsive website is a must.
People who use voice search are generally using mobile devices. Check your site here.
Finally, you should always test and tweak. Analyze, check your strategy, link building, SEO, and make any needed changes.
You must keep your website and your strategies up to date. By using the suggestions here you will be well on your way to being in step with voice search and the Changes Affecting Content Marketing.

Generate Passive Income With Successful Affiliate Marketing
by Rahimah Sultan
The definition of affiliate marketing is getting paid a commission from an online retailer for traffic or sales generated from your referrals.
If you are new to online marketing, the following should help you to generate passive income with successful affiliate marketing.
The three-step process required is:
1. You recommending a product or service to your followers
2. Your followers purchasing the product or service using your affiliate link
3. You getting paid a commission for the sales made using your affiliate link
Some advertising would have you believe that you can make lots of money for doing nothing. But the truth is more complicated than that.
There are seven steps you must take to avoid becoming overwhelmed and overloaded.
Now, let’s cover the first four initial steps that need to be taken.
Find Your Niche (or neesh)
The first thing you need to do is choose a niche to give focus to your business, help you with content, and help make it easier to create targeted marketing campaigns.
When choosing a niche consider:
1. What you’re passionate about and already have knowledge of
2. Whether your knowledge on the topic is enough to write at least 100 blog posts
(for search engine optimization or asserting your authority)
3. Oversaturation in the niche
4. Whether or not there is money in the niche
Build a Website
Then you need a website and a blog with the blog being the main focus of your site. Your website should also include several pages:
1. About to inform people a little about you and your business
2. Contact for sharing all the information you want to share with your readers, advertisers and
potential partners
3. Disclaimer if your site is monetized
4. Privacy Policy to let users know if you collect information and how you use it
5. Terms of Service limiting your liability in case of misuse of information or services provided
on your site and detailing user responsibilities regarding copyrights and trademarks
6. Custom 404 Page
7. Advertise if you plan on selling on-site ads, include a page for advertisers with information
about available spots, monthly views, audience demographics, and a contact form
These pages are important to build trust with your audience.
Now that you have your website, it’s time to create good-quality content.
Create Quality Content
There are different requirements for joining affiliate programs. Some networks and programs want you to have already established content, site traffic, and monthly views at a certain level before accepting you as an affiliate.
Be sure to read the eligibility requirements for the specific networks and programs you’re considering before you apply.
You should have at least 5 strong posts already on your site with future posts scheduled.
Grow Your Email List
Email is still the #1 communication channel for marketing. An easy way to grow your email list is by adding a popup to your site for signups.
Now that you’ve taken care of the first four steps, it’s time for step 5, choosing your affiliate products / services.
Choose Affiliate Products to Promote
Now that you’ve chosen your niche you need affiliate products that fit and relate to your content.
You need to join an affiliate program and choose the product and / or services you want to promote. Then move on to step six which is joining an affiliate marketing network.
Join an Affiliate Marketing Network
If there is something that you already use you can promote that. If not you can make a list of things and do a Google search for related affiliate products and programs.
You can promote products that fill a need, those that your audience wants to know about, and products from others in your niche.
Before signing up, thoroughly research everything. Do not promote products you don’t use or know nothing about.
Lastly, you need to track the performance of your affiliate producers.
Track Your Results
Track your affiliate links to help you understand which products perform better with your audience. This allows you to provide better products to them in the future, and you can also use this knowledge to provide them with better content. When you do your audience will keep returning.
You will want to disguise your affiliate links so readers will click on them.

Your Autoresponder and More
Why You Should Use Autoresponders

If you’re just starting out with online business, you may not be familiar with autoresponders.
An autoresponder is a computer program that automatically answers e-mail sent to it; messages set to go out automatically after a contact subscribes to your list.
You should use autoresponders to help automate your business which saves a lot of time. If you’re skillful in how you use them, autoresponder emails can generate a lot of income for your business. This is the main reason you should use autoresponders.
You need an email marketing application to send out your autoresponders. There are many from which to choose. Do an online search for autoresponders, check them out and make comparisons, then choose one that suits your needs. The range is from very basic to certain pieces of software or web apps that you need to integrate with mailing lists for your website or store. Remember, you get what you pay for so choose wisely.
If you already have a mailing list, you can use autoresponders to:
— Send out any type of greeting such as for birthdays and related offers
— Move a subscriber from one set of communications (list) to another after their initial purchase (from buyer to an upsell)
— Send people reminders to encourage renewing after a certain period of time (warranties, policies, etc.)
— Automatically send follow-up information about your other products/services
Some tips for sending autoresponses
Be reasonable with timing. Don’t send every day. Your initial email should acknowledge your subscriber with a thank you and include a link to the product or service s/he signed up for. Then send one the next day acknowledging their subscription with the link again, and state something like “Just in case you missed the email, here’s the link again.”
After the first two immediate emails, you might send something once a week, but not always selling something. You might let your list know about your latest blog post, or something you found that will help them in their business.
Keep the communication relevant to your niche. That is, what you are promoting and your website or blog content.
Stay on the right side of GDPR — data protection laws. This means that you must always have explicit consent before sending any autoresponders (emails), and make it easy for
users to unsubscribe from your emails.
If you have a special announcement or promotion, general news updates, or are marking a special occasion you can do this manually in an e-newsletter or by using the broadcast function in your email marketing system.

Saving time to work on other aspects of your business is the main reason you should use autoresponders.
