3 Keys to Online Success

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

Plenty of people want to make money online. You need the proper mindset and a willingness to stay the course. Do not fall for advertising touting scams of earning money for doing nothing or getting rich in 30 days or any other thing that sounds too good to be true. Success is not easy. Once you have decided to venture out into the Internet world for business, these three keys to online success will help.

Build an Online Presence

You must be willing to invest in yourself and your future business. Building an online presence is as simple as setting up a web page or a blog. First you need to purchase a domain name. Then I suggest setting up a WordPress blog using your actual name as the domain name. If your name is already in use, you can use a hyphen between your first and last name or use something like YourNameOnline.com or YourNameMarketing.com. Take time to come up with what you want to communicate as your business or your niche, because you will probably not be able to change it.

Create a Product for Sale Online

You may be wondering how you can create a product, especially if you are just thinking about starting a business online. Do you have something that you are truly good at and love doing? Do you have a hobby? Is there a subject that you know a lot about? If so, you have a good beginning point.

You can write an ebook detailing how to implement what you do or make short step-by-step videos demonstrating the process. You can blog about your expertise and put it into book form at a later date.

Drive Traffic to Your Product

Once you have your product you can sell it through your site. Join some safelists and traffic exchanges so you will have places to advertise. You will need a LCP (lead capture page) to get peoples’ name and email to start building a list. These will be filtered through a funnel via an autoresponder. As you are building your list, you are posting valuable content on your blog at least once a week. Less often will get you nowhere as far as an online presence is concerned.

You must be prepared to be “in” for the long haul, as things usually do not happen quickly. It takes patience, persistence, and perseverance as with any business. If you have money to invest, your progress can happen faster, but you can also lose a lot of money, especially if you are a newcomer to online business. There is a learning curve, so do not be too hasty. Check things out before diving in.

Setting up an online presence, creating a product to sell, and driving prospects to that product are the basics for making money online. If you are willing to do the work and stay the course, following these three keys to online success will help.

Steps to a Successful Affiliate Marketing Strategy

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

I ran across an article titled 10 Steps to a Successful Affiliate Marketing Strategy that laid out what affiliate marketers needed to do to succeed in 2015 and beyond? The operative words are “and beyond.” The author states, “Many first-time affiliate marketers make the mistake of going one mile wide and one inch deep: trying to dominate forty niches in their first few years.” Marcus Taylor covers ten steps to a successful affiliate marketing strategy that include:

Using valuable content, building a brand that adds value to the customer, building a foundation of recurring revenue, and more.

He also says you should use more than one traffic source, have a mobile-friendly site, and find products that add value to the site’s readers and that also have the potential to increase the site’s revenue by an order of magnitude. In his “10 Steps to a Successful Affiliate Marketing Strategy” he points out the fact that affiliates need to be creative and outthink the competition.

3 Ideas for Internet Marketing Success

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

If you are new to online business you probably need some help. Seek out someone who is a success in the area of your interest and approach them for mentoring. You can also do online searches for information.

With a small or new business, it is vital for your online marketing efforts to be a success so that you can attract new users to your site where they then find out what you have to offer. Visitors to your site need to feel that you are genuine and committed to your product. Here are three ideas for Internet marketing success.

Do Your Homework

If you are considering setting up a blog, first do some homework. Sure, it is easy for anyone to set up a blog and monetize it. But, there are several things to consider before doing so. What type of platform do you want and will it serve your purpose? What themes and plugins are available and are they compatible? How do you set up a blog with a secure user name and password, spam filters, and hacker security? These are the basics and the beginning of Internet marketing success.

Promotion Methods

Once your platform is set up what methods of promotion will you use. SEO is very important in getting your articles in front of viewers so that they see what products or services you are offering. Which social media platforms are you going to use and are they a good fit for you? Check your competition’s strategies for ideas, although you do not want to exactly copy anything. Put your own spin on things. Will you use paid promotion such as PPC and Google adwords?

Plan

Make a basic plan that allows for changes. Sometimes large changes to the plan will be necessary. You also need a marketing outline for promoting your business. Decide which avenues you will use and what your budget will look like.

No matter what product or service you offer, if you do not wholeheartedly believe in it, no one will take you seriously. You must be believable for people to want what you are offering. You need to have total belief in the success of your business, and you must commit to making it so.

Do your homework, choose promotion methods, and follow your plan. Using these three ideas for Internet marketing success will aid in getting visitors to your site to view your products and services.

3 Tips on Internet Marketing Training

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

Running a website is a great if it is not just a general site. Your site needs to have a particular focus on a specific aspect of a particular niche. Once you have decided what to focus on set up your site, get it online and start directing people to it. Here are three tips on internet marketing training.

1) Instant Success

There are claims daily about how easily and quickly someone became rich online, but what is not mentioned is what it took to gain that success. It took a dream and commitment. Internet marketing takes work.

If you have never done business online and are now considering it, you might want to think about investing in some training and coaching before jumping in. Take a few days to check out some systems and coaches so that you have 24-hour access to needed information and assistance.

2) Bright Shiny Objects

Do not let every new program or system advertised throw you off course. There are hundreds online and new ones coming out every day touting the “get-rich-quick” scheme or the “we-do-all-the-work” thing. Your success is dependent upon your own efforts and you need to be in control. Stay focused on what you want to achieve.

3) Advertising

You do not need to be everywhere online, just where your traffic is. When you start online you will most likely be a one-person operation. All the work will be done by you. If you set up a blog, you will be writing all the posts unless you hire a writer. You will be doing all the advertising, and you may have a limited budget. To get free traffic you must view others’ ads for credits to send out mailings. Social media sites are great if they fit into your plan. Who will do the posting? These are just a few considerations.

Growing a list of subscribers is great, although it’s not the ‘be all’, ‘end all’ of Internet marketing. Having a list and communicating with those people can gain you many buyers and in the end, many friendships.

Be clear about your message (niche), your brand, and your offer. Continue learning more and more about your niche and put it out there in clear and concise content. As things are forever changing, your learning will be ongoing. Keep in mind these Three Tips on Internet Marketing Training.

3 Tips for Structuring Emails

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

I am sure you know the saying, “The devil in the detail.” When people say the devil in the detail they mean that small things in plans and schemes that are often overlooked can cause serious problems later on. When using email marketing you must pay attention to detail. These three tips for structuring emails can help you do that.

The term is usually used to refer to sending email messages with the intent of acquiring new customers, encouraging customer loyalty and repeat business, retaining customers, and winning back former customers. When you use email marketing for advertising it needs to look professional.

1) Use Eye-Catching Subject Lines

Subject lines should catch the attention of the reader. Think of something that would make you want to open an email. If you think you cannot come up with attention- grabbing subjects just look at others, that you come across online, for ideas.

2) No Misleading Subjects

Be creative without using misleading subject lines. The subject should always be related to what is in the body of the email. As you want to preserve your online integrity, do not try to trick people.

3) Avoid Spam Triggers

Avoid spam triggers in your subjects and in the body of your emails such as the overuse of the word free and the use of symbols (Fr*e or FR33) to disguise spammy words that will land your email in junk mail and spam folders. Spam filters look at your email as a whole. There are quite a few spam-checking tools available for checking emails before you send them.

When composing your emails use proper grammar rules, great subject lines that are not misleading, and avoid spam triggers. These 3 Tips for Structuring Emails can help you get started with your email campaign.

3 Tips for Online Marketing

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

Before getting into the 3 tips for online marketing, I want to point out that there are many online marketing strategies. There is search engine marketing, social media marketing, and e-mail marketing among others. The main focus of search engine marketing strategies is placing researched keywords in particular places on web pages of a website.

Social media marketing does not involve a large investment because putting a business profile on social networking sites is absolutely free, although you may want to purchase ads in the future.

E-mail marketing is a primary way to build a relationship with customers and encourages customer loyalty. It can offer amazing benefits if they choose to become a subscriber.

Online marketing involves methods used for promoting products and services on the Internet. It includes a wider range of marketing elements than traditional business marketing due to the extra channels and marketing mechanisms available on the web. Here are 3 tips for online marketing.

Optimize Your Website

Website optimization is a phrase that describes the procedures used to design a website to rank well in search engines. Do some keyword research and determine the best relevant keywords and phrases for your niche and web pages. Use and edit the meta tags, image tags, and components of your website to ensure that it is accessible to search engines thus improving the overall chance that your website will be indexed by search engines and have a higher page rank.

Publish an E-newsletter

Figure out what type of email newsletter you want and set it up based on your particular focus. Tell people what to expect on your “subscribe” page and how often you will be emailing them. Do not bombard your subscribers with daily emails and do not overdo the self-promotion. Use your emails to follow up with subscribers about new things that are going on in your business, helpful information and education, and not for just for selling. You do not want to lose potential customers.

Set up a Blog

Blogging is a great way to express yourself and showcase your products and services. Use a WordPress blog and plugins and you have total control. Add an opt-in form and post articles regularly that have a call to action. Be sure your blog is optimized for the search engines. Write a minimum of one article per week to remain relevant or the search engines will not bother to keep your site indexed. Be sure your site looks and reads professionally. Consistent, high-volume content will help you build a steady audience. Some of them will convert into leads and paying customers.

As online marketers, we understand the absolute importance of promotion. Marketing is the lifeline for any business, product or service. I hope these 3 Tips for Online Marketing are useful to you.

Internet Marketing Training

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

A few years ago I worked four years at a federal government supported program. While there I had seriously begun checking into working online and internet marketing training. The person who was my supervisor had established the office where I was employed. She passed away about a year before I was scheduled to leave. The new supervisor was from out of state and not able to be in the office until about six months later.

In the meantime, I and one other staff member basically ran the office, with the help of two area directors from two different offices who had signature authority. Needless to say, that was a very stressful time.

When the new director arrived he wanted me to overhaul the office which included sorting and discarding old files and rearranging files and the filing system that had been in place for about 15 years. This was a lot of work to try to squeeze into my allotted 20 hours a week, but it had to be done along with my other duties. Of course I ended up working more hours. Each day I would dash home to do my internet marketing training.

This was a challenging dilemma for me as I was just starting to get into the online business world and was on overload with the learning curve involved in internet marketing. As I only had a certain number of months left in the program, the director and I compromised. He allowed me to take the extra hours off at the end of my time. That allowed me to leave that job sooner and to be able to focus solely on my internet marketing training.

Sometimes things just do not go as planned and we have to switch gears or just hang in there and do what we can until things become manageable again. There will always be challenges to overcome in life and certainly in the internet marketing business. You must have commitment, set your priorities, focus, and do the required work, and you must not spread yourself too thin.

Through commitment, focus, work, and Internet Marketing Training you can overcome challenges you may face in your online efforts.

Increase Your Sales With Autoresponders

by Rahimah Sultan

An autoresponder is an e-mail utility that automatically replies to an e-mail message with a prewritten response when that e-mail comes into a specific e-mail or Internet address. You can increase your sales with autoresponders, connect easily with people, and brand yourself.

Autoresponders are used by individuals and also by Web sites that need to respond to user comments automatically. Businesses use them to inform an email sender that someone is out of the office and the date of return; a company may use an autoresponder for newsletter subscription opt-ins or cancellations.

An autoresponder is used by businesses to confirm purchases and pertinent information regarding that buy. Email marketing, using autoresponders, has been identified as one of the most profitable modern marketing techniques.

When someone responds to advertising you have mailed out online you have a series of responses set up that go out automatically. This starts to build a relationship between you and prospective clients or customers.

Autoresponders allow you to get your message and brand out to buyers and your community, encourage customer loyalty and repeat business, and retain and win back customers.

Your autoresponder allows you to have thank-you and reminder- messages all set up and ready to go out at certain intervals when someone joins your list or accepts one of your offers. This automated setup is the lifeline between you and your customer.

Online Marketing as an Alternative for Baby Boomers

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

Lillie Lacy discusses some alternatives for the future of the Baby Boomers, who may not have saved enough for retirement. One choice is to keep working as long as possible, and another is to start an online business. Online marketing as an alternative for Baby Boomers is a beneficial choice, as it can be done from home and almost any place in the world.

‘As a group, they were the wealthiest, most active, and most physically fit generation up to that time, and amongst the first to grow up genuinely expecting the world to improve with time. They were also the generation that received peak levels of income; therefore they could reap the benefits of abundant levels of food, apparel, retirement programs, and sometimes even “midlife crisis” products. The increased consumerism for this generation has been regularly criticized as excessive.’

Many people are using Internet Marketing as a means for extra money or a fulltime income and are very successful. Just think it through, make a plan and use online marketing as an alternative for Baby Boomers.
