3 Tips for Online Marketing

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

Before getting into the 3 tips for online marketing, I want to point out that there are many online marketing strategies. There is search engine marketing, social media marketing, and e-mail marketing among others. The main focus of search engine marketing strategies is placing researched keywords in particular places on web pages of a website.

Social media marketing does not involve a large investment because putting a business profile on social networking sites is absolutely free, although you may want to purchase ads in the future.

E-mail marketing is a primary way to build a relationship with customers and encourages customer loyalty. It can offer amazing benefits if they choose to become a subscriber.

Online marketing involves methods used for promoting products and services on the Internet. It includes a wider range of marketing elements than traditional business marketing due to the extra channels and marketing mechanisms available on the web. Here are 3 tips for online marketing.

Optimize Your Website

Website optimization is a phrase that describes the procedures used to design a website to rank well in search engines. Do some keyword research and determine the best relevant keywords and phrases for your niche and web pages. Use and edit the meta tags, image tags, and components of your website to ensure that it is accessible to search engines thus improving the overall chance that your website will be indexed by search engines and have a higher page rank.

Publish an E-newsletter

Figure out what type of email newsletter you want and set it up based on your particular focus. Tell people what to expect on your “subscribe” page and how often you will be emailing them. Do not bombard your subscribers with daily emails and do not overdo the self-promotion. Use your emails to follow up with subscribers about new things that are going on in your business, helpful information and education, and not for just for selling. You do not want to lose potential customers.

Set up a Blog

Blogging is a great way to express yourself and showcase your products and services. Use a WordPress blog and plugins and you have total control. Add an opt-in form and post articles regularly that have a call to action. Be sure your blog is optimized for the search engines. Write a minimum of one article per week to remain relevant or the search engines will not bother to keep your site indexed. Be sure your site looks and reads professionally. Consistent, high-volume content will help you build a steady audience. Some of them will convert into leads and paying customers.

As online marketers, we understand the absolute importance of promotion. Marketing is the lifeline for any business, product or service. I hope these 3 Tips for Online Marketing are useful to you.

Three Tips for Marketing Success

by Rahimah Sultan

In today’s ever-changing marketplace, it is not enough to have a website. A successful home business requires online marketing strategies the same as an offline business. For your marketing success you must engage in effective marketing to get new customers. In order to achieve your business goals you must establish a budget and master online marketing skills. Here are three tips for marketing success.

1) Your website must be search engine optimized. Search engine optimization (SEO) is a long-term marketing strategy. It is important to have your blog and web pages fully search engine optimized for getting free, targeted traffic from the search engines. Keyword research and use as well as quality incoming links are essential for this to be a successful online marketing strategy.

2) Another long-term strategy is link building. Having incoming links is critical to your marketing success online. Search engines rank your site higher based on the number of good incoming links pointing to it. There are many techniques for building incoming links to your site. One way is writing for article directories.

You want to publish articles in the largest publications that you can, because they get you links when other webmasters use your article on their sites. This is known as syndication. There is a resource box included at the end of your article where you can add your information and your website. This gets you one-way backlinks to your site. You only need to write for a couple of the largest directories. I suggest Ezine Articles directory.

3) Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC) is a strategy that will yield fast results, although it requires a financial investment. You should educate yourself about PPC before using it, as you can lose large amounts of money in a very few days. You must be very careful and track each ad promotion, to identify the strategies that get the best results. This will enable you to invest wisely.

Driving traffic to your site is essential for long term success. Hopefully, these Three Tips for Marketing Success help you in your online business.

It’s called content marketing. You’re on the receiving end every day. If you need examples, check out all those helpful tips and articles in your email box and social media designed to make you stop, click, read, and act.

An Internet Sales Funnel

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

Are you totally new to online marketing and have no clue how to start? Some people start out with affiliate marketing as they have not decided what area to focus on or a niche, or even if they want to pursue a business of their own. As an affiliate marketer you will get some experience at advertising online and building a marketing funnel or an internet sales funnel.

Soon you will probably want to consider building a business of your own so that you have total control and make all the income instead of building someone else’s business. With the proper information and training you can do just that. You can learn how to build a full-time, long-term business for next to nothing and have the tools to do so while continuing to be an affiliate marketer.

To conduct your own business online you will need to set up a site such as a blog. To do this choose a domain name and a hosting company. Once your site is set up you will need to advertise to get visitors by using a lead capture page—a way to get people to opt in to your email list. This system then becomes an internet sales funnel. Once you have decided on your product or service you will have this list of interested prospects to sell to. You will need an autoresponder to maintain contact with your list.

You can develop your own product or service and advertise it with your lead capture page (LCP). You may have a physical place of business that you can bring online and make that the focus of your website. Use the business name as your domain name and proceed from there.

You may want to use drop shipping for your physical products, or you may want to be a reseller for others and need contracts. I used this for step-by-step assistance with setting up An Internet Sales Funnel using a blog and tying everything together for business.

Internet Marketing Training

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

A few years ago I worked four years at a federal government supported program. While there I had seriously begun checking into working online and internet marketing training. The person who was my supervisor had established the office where I was employed. She passed away about a year before I was scheduled to leave. The new supervisor was from out of state and not able to be in the office until about six months later.

In the meantime, I and one other staff member basically ran the office, with the help of two area directors from two different offices who had signature authority. Needless to say, that was a very stressful time.

When the new director arrived he wanted me to overhaul the office which included sorting and discarding old files and rearranging files and the filing system that had been in place for about 15 years. This was a lot of work to try to squeeze into my allotted 20 hours a week, but it had to be done along with my other duties. Of course I ended up working more hours. Each day I would dash home to do my internet marketing training.

This was a challenging dilemma for me as I was just starting to get into the online business world and was on overload with the learning curve involved in internet marketing. As I only had a certain number of months left in the program, the director and I compromised. He allowed me to take the extra hours off at the end of my time. That allowed me to leave that job sooner and to be able to focus solely on my internet marketing training.

Sometimes things just do not go as planned and we have to switch gears or just hang in there and do what we can until things become manageable again. There will always be challenges to overcome in life and certainly in the internet marketing business. You must have commitment, set your priorities, focus, and do the required work, and you must not spread yourself too thin.

Through commitment, focus, work, and Internet Marketing Training you can overcome challenges you may face in your online efforts.

Internet Marketing Solutions

photo from blog

In the online business world there are three key things needed to grow your business. These Internet Marketing Solutions include targeted traffic, something to sell, and a marketing funnel. These key factors are needed for all products and services sold online.

Targeted Traffic

The first element you need to grow your online business is a steady flow of targeted customers visiting your website and online sales pages. These are people who are genuinely interested in your products or services. You can buy traffic or use free sources or both. Paid traffic includes pay per click, banner advertisements, solo ads and ezine advertising. Article marketing, search engine optimization, video marketing and blogging are some free ways of getting targeted traffic.

Product or Service

Part of your Internet Marketing Solutions includes something to sell. It can be an actual physical product that is shipped to buyers or a digital product that can be instantly downloaded to their computers. If you do not have a product of your own, there are many places to find good products to sell as an affiliate marketer. Click bank, JV Zoo, and Deal Guardian are a few. Just make sure they are good products that solve people’s problems. This is especially important for your prospective buyers. You want them to trust you and your recommendations.

Marketing Funnel

You need a follow up strategy for people who do not buy from you the first time they visit your site. A marketing funnel serves that purpose by capturing visitors’ information and adding them to a list of prospects to be contacted at a later date. They may like what you are offering but need more time to get to know and trust you before making a purchase. Once you have a prospect’s information you can remind them of your products and services in a number of ways that include email marketing, online webinars and social media.

To be successful with your internet marketing business you must use effective advertising. You must use these three key Internet Marketing Solutions.

Quick Tips to Improve Your Email Marketing Subject Lines

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

This is a discussion of a few quick tips to improve your email marketing subject lines. To start, keep your message straightforward and avoid splashy promotional phrases, all capital letters, or exclamation marks in your subject lines. Subject lines using questions can often perform better.

Be aware of your list quality and how often you email. When readers know what they are going to receive, they are more likely to open emails. Your list of engaged subscribers are more inclined to open and read them. If you start with a good list but send too often, open rates decline. I am listing only a few quick tips.

Your subject line should be no more than 50 characters long. Follow grammar rules.

Do not use false or misleading promises. You will be viewed as untrustworthy.

Make it clear how your readers will benefit from your email. Let them know about that SEO information.

Use questions to get your readers’ attention. “Is your blog in need of content?”

Use numbers in your subject line. “Are you making these 5 blogging mistakes?”

Hopefully these quick tips to improve your email marketing subject lines will help with your open rates.

4 Content Marketing Promotion Tips

by Rahimah Sultan

Content marketing is sharing valuable content to attract prospects and turn them into customers and repeat buyers. Most content is created and published with a particular audience in mind. It includes blog posts, articles, website copy, letters to customers, social media posts, podcasts, recorded interviews, infographics, photos, and video. Here are 4 Content Marketing Promotion Tips.

1. Who is Your Audience?

When writing content you must decide who it is for—the audience you want to connect with. If you blog about jewelry you want to connect with people interested in jewelry, but you must narrow the niche to serve a particular audience. You might narrow the field to designing and making your own jewelry.

2. Can You Solve a Particular Problem?

How does what you are offering solve a particular problem your customers might have? If you can solve their problems you become the go-to expert. Tell a story about your experience in the business. Incorporate video to show how to make certain items or how to use different tools.

3. How Do You Keep Your Readers Engaged?

What stories can you tell about your experiences? Use them to make your articles interesting, and ask your audience to relate theirs. You can ask them to present any questions they might have or ask them to subscribe to your newsletter through which you deliver information on a regular basis.

4. Provide a Call to Action

Always provide a strong call to action that has a clear message such as, “For more information” or “To get your packet contact me here…”

After all, the point is to get business to your site so give readers clear instructions. You can have them fill out a form so you can follow up with them.

Use engaging and informative content and post on a regular basis. These 4 Content Marketing Promotion Tips can help to improve your effort.

Three Ingredients of Business Success

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

According to Clate Mask, there are three ingredients of business success: Passion, Freedom and Impact. He goes on to say, “Impact should be at the core of your business. You might think that when your business reaches a certain stage of growth or you have a bigger budget you’ll then decide to make an impact. Don’t wait! Start from the beginning. Very early in our business we made giving and helping others a key part of our purpose. If having an impact is a key part of your business from day one, you will make an impact on someone’s life every day.”

Passion is your drive. Freedom is the ability to spend your time and money as you see fit, and Impact should be the core of your business.

Loving what you do and being paid for it allows room for mistakes and growth. You do not have to be an expert to start a business, but you must be able to keep your message going.

You need to start somewhere. Start with something you are passionate about that people will pay you for. Because you are not an expert yet, chances are that you will not be paid a lot of money for it. Look at the long-term goal for your vision, and do not be discouraged by the lack of pay or progress you will initially experience.

As you make decisions about a business, do keep in mind these Three Ingredients of Business Success.

Blogging: Your Message

by Rahimah Sultan

The term blog originated from weblog and then weblog became just blog. A weblog is just that, a web log that is an online journal or diary kept by individuals. The term is also used as a verb that means to add information or posts. Since the mid-1990s blogging has become progressively easier with easy-to-use publishing tools and is now the predominant way of self-publishing.

Blogging has become an essential way to get your message out to others. You can incorporate text, pictures, links, short videos, or other media in your posts that make your content more appealing to readers.

There are many platforms for blogs that including WordPress.com, WordPress.org, Blogger, and Tumblr. There are pros and cons to consider when choosing a platform. You have to make an assessment and choose the one that best suits your needs for now and in the future.

WordPress.com is free but you do not technically own your blog, it can be suspended at any time, and .wordpress is in your domain name; while WordPress.org is free, you have control, and there are search engine-friendly options, but you must pay a host to support it.

WordPress.org requires you to have some basic understanding of how the web servers and the installation process works. Although you can set one up in under 5 minutes, WordPress.org requires some technical skills for uploading files to a web server using FTP (file transfer protocol) and such.

Blogging is a way to showcase your passion and expertise and a way to brand yourself and your products. It allows you to present your knowledge and skills to the public. A good post can be as short as 250 words.

If you have been thinking about blogging, now may be the time to start. Once you get your blog up and running and get a few followers your confidence will grow. Just take the first step.
