A Successful Online Marketing Strategy

Building a successful online marketing strategy is just like building anything – it starts with a solid foundation. That foundation comes from understanding three basics of online marketing:

 

Search Engine Optimization
Content Marketing
Social Media Marketing

 

SEO should include:
Relevant Keywords
Valuable Content that is Shared
A Website that Loads Quickly
Both Images and Content
Backlinks from Respected Websites

 

Content marketing is important because it helps build your brand and inspire confidence in you.

 

Blogs, training videos, podcasts, and even video games can be used in your successful online marketing strategy. Be sure your content is good quality so it will not adversely affect your rankings and damage your brand. It must be free of grammar and spelling errors so that you look professional. Remember that the content you put on your site might be the first impression a prospective client gets of you.

 

You can use other people’s materials with permission and proper attribution. However, if you author the material, it positions you as an expert.

 

Once you have provided something of value and positioned yourself as an expert, you are much more likely to build the trust necessary to sell something. You can feature your products or services with a banner ad on your blog or by inviting the prospect to click through to the ecommerce portion of your website.

 

Social Media Marketing

 

In order to make the most of a social media marketing strategy, you need to interact with your fans and create a true community. Show that you are accessible by allowing people to ask questions, voice concerns, and even complain. Then address these issues in a professional manner. Provide them with content that is interesting, not just promotional. Remember, social media is just that – social!

 

Gaining a certain number of followers or obtaining a target click through rate can be wonderful short-term objectives. However, the final objective of Internet Marketing is sales.

 

The Internet in general and social media specifically can be wonderful tools for generating sales. But, like all tools, they have to be used properly to produce the desired results.

 

Always keep the marketing basics in mind in your strategy. Ask yourself these three questions:

 

1) Why would a prospective customer buy my product or service rather than the offerings of a competitor?
2) Is there a segment of the market that would value the things that differentiate my product or service and is it large enough to support my business?
3) What is the most cost-effective way to reach this segment with the message that my product or service is different?

 

Then, only launch an Internet-Marketing campaign if it is the most cost effective way to reach your specific target market with your message.

Internet Marketing Strategies

As I was taking my morning walk, I was thinking about life’s patterns in general and business ones in particular. We establish certain daily routines that govern what actions we need to take to accomplish what we set out to do. If we work for someone else that employer has a job description with our tasks listed and it usually includes the phrase and other related duties. I was thinking about my Internet Marketing Strategies and what to do to improve them.

 

As a business owner and Internet Marketer, what marketing strategies can you use to improve your success? Have you written out your job description that includes a plan for marketing strategies and the related duties to accomplish your goal(s)?

 

You must take stock of where you are and consider where you want to be and how to get there. You must have a very clear purpose and goal. Here are three things to consider.

 

Market Your Own Product or Someone Else’s

 

If you do not have a product of your own, there many places to find good products to sell as an affiliate marketer. Click bank, JV Zoo, and Deal Guardian are a few. Just make sure they are good products that solve people’s problems. This is especially important for your list of prospective buyers. You want them to trust you and your recommendations.

 

Choose Your Platform

 

Will you be using a blog, social media, mobile media or others? A WordPress blog (Read Article) is an excellent advertising platform over which you have total control.

 

Online Advertising Techniques

 

These can include text and banner ads, content advertising, videos and more. Content marketing on your own blog is the best way to go. You can write articles about anything you want and monetize them.

 

So, put together a job description for yourself that includes the related duties you need to reach your goal and include these three Internet Marketing Strategies for your business.

According to Jon Allo, the most popular affiliate marketing niches are health, wealth and romance which are evergreen niches, because people will always have problems they want solved.

 

As an affiliate marketer you find a product that you like and then you promote it. You want to find useful products in affiliate marketing niches that solve people’s problems.

 

If you do not like these niches there are plenty of others to consider that include:
Self Help
Insomnia
Gourmet Foods And Coffee
Parents And Children
Pets
Household and Home
Hobbies and Leisure

 

When deciding on an online business that includes affiliate marketing you must consider several things, among them just the basics that some people do not think about. (See article) As an affiliate marketer, you can promote digital products and combine them with tangible ones.

 

If you choose any of the affiliate marketing niches mentioned and they are digital products, you can also offer tangible products that compliment them such as calming candle lights, health supplements, stress-busting devices, and even massage technology for the self-help niche. If you choose the pets niche you can promote pet food and toys along with a digital course on caring for a pet.

 

Do your research to determine what you need for setting up your online business. Then decide whether or not you want to include affiliate marketing niches.

Publishing content is one of the best ways to build traffic online. If your content is of good quality it can circulate online indefinitely, and this can brand you as an authority in your field. If it remains relevant the long-term benefit is continual traffic. Three ways to do online marketing for long term traffic and for branding and getting traffic long after being published are blogging, articles and video.

 

Blogging has become the rule now rather than the exception for maintaining an online presence.

 

Article directories are still a great platform for publishing content. People still use them to find what they are looking for, and article directories archive older publications so, that information can be accessed.

The concept of the sales funnel begins at the very start of a marketing phase where you are trying to capture the interest of as many visitors and prospective customers as you can. Some techniques used for this are:

**Writing good and targeted content and articles on your blog

**Building a list using email signups through your blog by offering free gifts

**Using social networks to signup people in order to be able to broadcast your special offers or latest blog post

**Using a landing page and/or sales pages with a call to action (signup, buy, etc) and many more.

 

Before even considering the construction of your Internet Sales Funnel, you will need a product or service to offer to sell to your visitors.

These can be physical products, your own digital creations such as eBooks, videos or software and also things such as membership programs or consultation services. If you don’t have your own product you can use affiliate programs such as Clickbank, Amazon or affiliate programs available that you can use in conjunction with blogging from your website.

 

It is very important that before choosing a product to sell that you try to identify a niche which people are demanding and then supply this need to them.

 

An Internet Sales Funnel is really a marketing framework which represents all of the stages from your initial leads to actual sales.

As far as social media goes, Stephanie Frasco of Social Media Today states that there is no magic button to make your web content go viral. “However, there are some ways to increase your reach and make the sharing contagious.”

 

As you publish, your content will do some of the work on its own and will always be on your site for new visitors.

 

“Content + Influence = Authority. Or in other words Content + Sharing = Results”.

 

You have to have great content and targeted Influencers of the web sharing it. You have to have the right kind of content and that depends on your audience – the people your trying to reach, the ones for whom you’re writing.

 

Some types of content work better than others, such as lists, infographics, and how-tos, and longer pieces work better than short.

Advertising Headlines

Write good advertising headlines for your product or service. They should immediately catch the reader’s attention. The success of your advertisement lies mostly in the headline. You can state the benefits such as ‘Does Your Autoresponder Service Offer These benefits’?

 

Use “free” http://tinyurl.com/mktg-safelists in the headline, and actually give them something for no cost. Do not confuse this with using the word free in an email, which is usually spelled FR~E on websites as ISP filters block messages having the actual word, considering it to be some kind of spam.

 

You is a very important word to use in an advertisement. It makes your potential customers feel that they’re being spoken to directly. Picture yourself as the customer, and what would appeal to you.

 

You need to understand the consumer’s needs and desires and then design the advertisement accordingly. Don’t just state the advantages of a product or service, but show how it can make a difference in their business or life by owning or using it. Show them the advantage of owning the product or having the service. The idea is to make prospective buyers feel that they must have what you’re offering them.

 

For example, when advertising for a car, just stating the specs will not create the effect you want. Make the Ad read something like this: You could be enjoying life to the fullest in your new (car). The solution to the problem of the customer is reflected in this sentence. Ideas can be taken from advertisements of similar brands. Once you have the main sentence, use some power words to create a desire or need for your product or service, which could be a mailing system, an autoresponder, website designing, or whatever.

 

Offer a “Money back guarantee,” at the end of your advertisement to help gain the trust of your customer. Then show the payment methods and how money will be refunded if the customer is not satisfied.
