by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog
If you’re anything like I used to be then I’m sure you’ve had your share of troubles when it came to email marketing and the frustration of trying to make your first dollar…failing time and time again trying to use emails for cash.

No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t pull one lousy dollar from my list. ONE LOUSY DOLLAR!

I was convinced that email marketing and learning how to make money through emails was more complex than a Rubik’s cube. Through experience, I finally started figuring out what worked!

Emails For Cash is a product that will help you to skip some of the trial and error frustration I dealt with in my email marketing efforts.

This video course shows you step by step different strategies and methods for using email marketing and how to write and use emails.

Video #1 is an overview of email construction: Subjects, headings, body, links and the closing.

Video #2 covers Copy Writing Skills:
Using persuasive language that holds your readers’ attention and compels them to keep reading
Creating powerful headlines that describe the benefit of your product for the reader
Constructing your main message with bullet points to get the readers’ attention
Making the benefits to your readers clear
Having a powerful call to action telling them what to do such as click here or fill out the form
Providing ways for people to contact you
Composing emails with a free gift included

Videos #3 – #5 cover ways to profit with email marketing: Two examples are using a squeeze page or your own product.

Although the autoresponder used in this video course is AWeber, I prefer to use Host Then Profit because it is very much more than just an autoresponder. And, I use only one list with my funnel.

Always remember that in order to sell, you must also give away good quality freebies so that your customers don’t feel like you just want their money.

Never give up! Use Emails For Cash and craft emails that will bring you income.

Online Marketing For Long Term Traffic

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

In TJ Philpott’s article Publishing Content For Long Term Traffic he discusses three simple ways that using content can keep you in front of people online.

Publishing content is one of the best ways to build traffic online. If your content is of good quality it can circulate online indefinitely, and this can brand you as an authority in your field. If it remains relevant the long-term benefit is continual traffic. Three ways to do online marketing for long term traffic and for branding and getting traffic long after being published are blogging, articles and video.

Blogging has become the rule now rather than the exception for maintaining an online presence.

Article directories are still a great platform for publishing content. People still use them to find what they are looking for, and article directories archive older publications so, that information can be accessed.

Video is becoming one of the most popular methods of sharing content, because people are visual and they would rather see and listen as opposed to read text. The fact that they can see and hear you builds trust and loyalty much faster. (Click to read article)

Make Money Online From Home

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

So you want to make money online from home. Where do you start?

Well, what do you like to do? What are your hobbies? What do you spend time on every day that you love doing? If you want to do what you love doing and also make serious money doing it, then start planning a way to get it out to the public. Consider using a blog to monetize your hobby which has now become your business.

You must be able to visualize the business growth. Think big. Don’t put any limitations on your business. It should be scalable and grow large enough to support what you want out of life. In other words, have a clear vision of how you want to make money online from home – a clear picture of what your business will look like. Only then can you truly move forward and make progress. Think what life will be like in the future. Don’t just start something because everyone else is doing it and it looks like you can make some money.

Once you have the big picture begin with small steps. Decide what strategies you will implement to reach your long-term goal. Will it be article marketing or something else. Pick one strategy and use it in the beginning. When you start getting the results you want from that one, you can add another.

Always remember that earning money online is simple but not easy. You must show up to your job daily and consistently put in the work to get results. Your business is your job and showing up to work constitutes 99% of your success. So plan your work and work your plan to make money online from home.

Four Things To Consider When Choosing A Domain Name

by Rahimah Sultan

Picking a domain name should be easy, right?

If you’re thinking of just using your business name, you should think again. A good bit of thought should be given to selecting a domain name. Picking a domain name is like getting married. You’re going to have to live with it until the end. I am suggesting four things to consider when choosing a domain name.

People that use your site will come to know it by the domain name. Repeat visitors will often just type in the domain name to get to the site. For example, do you search for “Amazon” when you want to buy a book or do you simply type in amazon.com? If Amazon were to change its domain name to Shop, there would be a lot of confusion. The same goes for your domain name. Once you pick it stick with it.

Domain Name Choices

Even if the obvious choice is your business name that might not be the best. There are four significant issues to consider.

1) Unwise Choice

Is there something about your business name that makes using it as a domain an unwise choice? This situation typically arises… More

Internet Marketing Rejection

by Rahimah Sultan

Rejection of any kind hurts. It’s no different with Internet Marketing Rejection. What matters is how you deal with it. Rejection does have a place and a purpose in your internet marketing business. You will not get a “yes” all the time. Rather than quitting, use rejection as a motivator. Keep learning about your business and find out what you can do differently or what you can improve.

Power of Rejection

Don’t hand your power over to rejection. Don’t let it rule your mind and control you. If you do, it could be devastating, because you can lose your money and not achieve your dreams and goals.

Rejection Mindset

We tend to take rejection personally because we invest so much time and effort in our product or service. So we need to change our mindset about Internet Marketing Rejection. It’s not personal. When someone does not want to use your services, it’s not about you. Most of the time the prospect’s reasons for saying “no” have nothing to do with you. It may not be the right time, it might not be a great fit for their business, or maybe they are having trouble making a decision at the moment. So you just move on, but you can stay in touch.

Dwelling on Rejection

Avoid dwelling on rejection. Instead focus on what you are working toward and do the daily tasks required to achieve that end. Learn all you can to improve your chances of success and work on your business daily.

Be honest with yourself about what you don’t know so that you can give yourself the opportunity to learn it and to grow, both personally and in your Internet Marketing business. Use the right tools to lessen the chances of Internet Marketing Rejection.

Internet Marketing Measuring for Business

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

Google’s Matt Cutts, in discussing Google’s Internet Marketing Measuring for Business regarding guest posting, states that Google is geared towards recognizing utility. If Google doesn’t recognize utility, then Google will become weaker and someone else will take their place. Only a few people remember Alta Vista. They didn’t provide much in the way of utility….

He then goes on to discuss the importance of measurement.

Measuring What Is Important

Matt Cutts says that a publishing strategy based on Google ranking is not a strategy but a tactic and it’s not a good tactic. He goes on to say that if interesting material is provided, people will read it and they might return if more interesting information is provided. This is creating engagement. That combined activity plays into ranking. Success depends on achieving the underlying business goal.

Some common things that are measured are Page views, Subscriptions, Comments, Quality of comments, Syndication, Time on site, Videos watched, Unique visitors, Traffic sent to partner sites, and much more.

How Do We Know If We’re Interesting?

“There are a couple of different types of measurement marketers use. One is an emotional response, where the visitor becomes “positively interested”. This is measured by recall studies, association techniques, customers surveys and questionnaires. However, the type of response on-line marketers focus on, which is somewhat easier to measure, is behavioural interest. When people are really interested, they do something in response.”

6 Advertising Tips

by Rahimah Sultan

There are many options available for advertising your business. Six advertising tips are listed here that could be the best way to reach larger audiences within a short period of time for the least amount of money.

Create a website

You can create a website and then place a link to it on other sources that accept ads.

You can optimize your pages and submit them to search engines. Some take money for placing an ad or link on their website, some take money only if a visitor clicks on the link or website and some take money only if the visitor visits a link and buys a product or service. There are many options available for the type of ad to be placed. These include pop-up ads, banner ads, wallpaper ads, video ads, etc. A low-budget option is sending emails to targeted customers.

Presentations of your products

Another way to advertise is giving presentations for your products. Brochures and business cards can be inserted into the business presentation package. Be sure to have accurately designed business cards that include all the vital information about the business like the name of the company, location, services provided, hours, phone number, cell number and contact person. Personalized business cards are a good way to reach customers.

Distribute newsletters with information about your latest offers and discounts. Informational letters of a page length and e-mails can also be sent on a regular basis.

All of this can be accomplished a lot easier by contacting companies who can provide the mailing list of a particular locality, for a small price. You can check the yellow pages for such companies. After getting the information get in touch with the company to get a copy of the latest mailing list. The fees differ from company to company.

Yellow pages

All businesses both large and small place ads in the yellow pages and have benefited. When you place the ad you should include your contact information and products and services.

Radio and TV stations

Radio and TV stations offer better prices during non-peak times, especially after midnight. Check with your local stations for pricing, time slots and discounts.

Newspapers

One can always use newspapers for advertising. First decide on your target audience – age group, sex, and location. Then choose the local newspaper and section where the ad will be placed depending on the audience to be targeted. The classified section of newspapers has special offers. Check the details of the pricing structure for the size of the advertisements, number of words, font size, etc.

Word of mouth

Last but not least, there’s always word of mouth. You can grow your network by joining organizations that deal with advertising like trade associations and chambers of commerce. Active participation in events of these organizations eventually helps you to reach a larger number of prospective clients.

Start using these 6 advertising tips in your business today.

5 Things Your Work From Home Business Needs

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

Operating a work from home business is the perfect opportunity for you to be your own boss provided you’re prepared to do so! Working alone can be very exciting however experiencing small business success at home requires 5 simple components or measures you must consider or take as reviewed below!

Structure

This is to say you’ll need to establish set working hours and not deviate from them simply because you’re working alone and can do what you please! Whether you work for somebody else or have decided to be your own boss, if you’re not productive your ‘paycheck’ will suffer as will your job security or business!

Self Motivation

Establishing the ‘proper’ environment is a well and good as mentioned above however without the proper motivation you’ll get little accomplished! Are you self motivated because if you’re not, trying to be your own boss will likely result in failure so this is something you MUST consider beforehand!

Remember, when working alone you’ll need not only to plan your work on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, but you’ll also need to work your plan! Motivation will be needed to not only work through problems that may arise, and they will, but to also resist the temptation to ‘take time off’ whenever you please just because you can!

Focus

The degree of small business success you may or may NOT experience is dependent upon the quality of effort you… Click to read more

4 Steps To A Successful Internet Business

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

Having a successful internet business is simply a matter of understanding how things work, and applying that knowledge. Following are 4 steps to a successful internet business.

Find something you feel is a good business opportunity

You can search the internet for all sorts of business ideas and opportunities. Searching on any search engine with the keywords Work At Home, Business Opportunities, Home Based Business, Affiliate Programs, Make Money Online, etc., will produce 1000’s of results. Affiliate programs are good business opportunities because the ONLY thing you need to do to run your internet business is to market your affiliate link. With a traditional business you have to deal with inventory, storage, packing, shipping, complaints, returns, phone calls, emails, checks and credit cards just to name a few! With affiliate programs, once someone has clicked on your affiliate link your only job is getting the next person to click on it.

Get your own webpage

You want to put your internet business on a webpage of your own. A webpage is like a store front. It projects an air of professionalism. Think about it. Do you feel the same about buying from a vendor on the street as you do about buying from a person in a store? They’re both vendors, but you’re more trusting of the person who has a store than you are of a street vendor.

Your webpage does not have to be fancy. If you only have a brief description of what your webpage is about along with individual descriptions of your product or products people will respect that. If it’s an affiliate program you have decided upon, simply put a BRIEF description of what is being offered along with your affiliate link. Do not disclose too much in your description because people might think they know what it’s all about and not click on your link. You want to let your affiliate website do all the selling for you. These sites are professionally designed to maximize the number of people who buy or join so a brief description, just enough to spike their curiosity, is sufficient.

Get your own blog

Get your own blog and make one post a day. A blog, short for, “Web Log,” is a great way to establish yourself as an authority figure on whatever topic you decide. As people return to read your daily articles, they will eventually come to view you as an authority on whatever your blog is about. They’ll eventually develop confidence in what you are saying, and will begin to trust you. As a result some people will check out your webpage to see what you have to offer them, and people tend to buy more from people they know and trust. Their confidence in you will be an additional factor that will compel people to buy from you. There are many places online that will host and let you set up your blog for free, although it’s best to have your own blog and not a free one.

Write and submit articles to article submission sites

This is the most important. This is how you’ll get FREE advertising. People are searching the internet for free information. When you submit your articles online, the search engines will eventually find them and will spider every word. When people do a search using keywords or phrases that are in your articles, they will turn up in the search results. So, be sure to insert highly searched-for-keywords and phrases into your articles. You’ll need to include your bio at the bottom of all your articles. Your bio (known as your resource box) will contain a brief description about who you are along with a link to your website. An example is: Jane Smith is the owner of yoursite.com. Jane helps people to work at home using various business opportunities that include affiliate programs. If you desire your own home based business visit (insert your complete site address including http://)

The more articles you write and submit, the higher the chances are of your articles keywords and phrases showing up on search results. The more links you have pointing back to your website, the higher your website page rank will be in the search engines, meaning the higher up you are in the search results the more likely your page will be seen. So don’t stop writing and submitting articles. But, they must have quality informative content. Take your time and check your spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, etc. No one will take what you have to say seriously if you don’t write correctly.

Having a successful internet business is simply a matter of understanding how things work, and applying that knowledge. It does not take any special skill or any great intelligence. If you follow these steps, you cannot fail. The most important thing, as with anything in life, is persistence.

Build A Strong Business History

Businesses that have made a difference are the ones that have been able to stand the test of time. Even though you may be just starting your business/home business, build a strong business history. There are some things you can do to build a positive image and secure future success. First, you must do things correctly and legally, following all the rules, and don’t cut corners in order to give yourself the upper hand or to make a quick buck.

Be organized and keep detailed records, as organization is a key to success. There are many important aspects of keeping precise records of your financial dealings, not the least of which is avoiding a major pain at tax time and keeping yourself clear of IRS audits. If you don’t keep clean financial records, it can be difficult if not impossible to claim some of the tax breaks your company is entitled to. Some companies ride so close to the black line, that it can be those tax deductions that help turn a profit for the year. Business experts advise keeping your records for a minimum of three years.

Keeping track of your business transactions doesn’t have to be complicated or too technical. For many years, businesses have managed record keeping through a simple system of writing down all transactions and putting them into some sort of file. You can do the same, or if you’re more comfortable with using a computer and software then you can use that to make your record keeping even easier. However, computer files can be lost in a system crash or even accidentally erased. Be sure to take the time, once a month or so, to make backup files of all your important records. If you are in charge of a second business, make sure you keep those records separate.

Day to day operations can create a “can’t see the forest for the trees” mentality. If you have the records and an easy system with which to look back over your numbers, you’ll never have to rely on your feelings or memory to gage how well your business is doing. And, don’t count totally on your account, although at times it’s unavoidable. It is in your best interest, as a business owner, to at least have a working knowledge of the books. Anyone could fall victim to a less-than-scrupulous accountant. The more you know about your business’s records, the less likely you are to become someone’s prey. Besides, with the knowledge and ability to take care of your books, you can cut back on what is oftentimes a very expensive bit of payroll. Always act in a professional manner, no matter the situation and create skilled business ties at the beginning of your venture, so that inquiries regarding your operation can be answered in a positive light.
