4 Steps for Internet Marketing

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

In order to accomplish anything you must take the first step toward it. Consider what needs to be done and make a plan. You lay out your goal and the steps to reach it. It is like putting one foot in front of the other in order to walk, run or sell… you get my drift. Here are four steps for internet marketing to get you started.

Say you want to start an online business and think it will not work for you because you do not know how to sell. Do not let that stop you. Do what you are good at and learn the rest as you build your business. That’s like putting one foot in front of the other, taking one step at a time while gaining momentum.

Set up a blog and write about what you know. The articles should be about your area of expertise and how to do what you do. Good content is the backbone of marketing. Your content should provide value, solve an existing problem that people may be experiencing, create connections, form relationships, and build an audience.

Add a call to action with a link to be clicked for more information or to buy or to follow.

Use an autoresponder to create a mailing list of the people who visit your site so you can connect with them to provide help, solve problems, and continue to deliver great content. This does not involve selling.

You can be social by using a couple of the major social media platforms, which will in turn get you visitors without you selling direct. Always be about helping people and you will gain customers.

So, do what you are good at and use these tips as your first steps toward long-term online success. To summarize:

Step 1) Set up your blog
Step 2) Provide content
Step 3) Add call to action
Step 4) Create mailing list

This is selling without always being direct. Once you have a list of prospects, you can email them every so often with your offers. Use these Four Steps for Internet Marketing for your long-term business success.

3 Keys to Online Success

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

Plenty of people want to make money online. You need the proper mindset and a willingness to stay the course. Do not fall for advertising touting scams of earning money for doing nothing or getting rich in 30 days or any other thing that sounds too good to be true. Success is not easy. Once you have decided to venture out into the Internet world for business, these three keys to online success will help.

Build an Online Presence

You must be willing to invest in yourself and your future business. Building an online presence is as simple as setting up a web page or a blog. First you need to purchase a domain name. Then I suggest setting up a WordPress blog using your actual name as the domain name. If your name is already in use, you can use a hyphen between your first and last name or use something like YourNameOnline.com or YourNameMarketing.com. Take time to come up with what you want to communicate as your business or your niche, because you will probably not be able to change it.

Create a Product for Sale Online

You may be wondering how you can create a product, especially if you are just thinking about starting a business online. Do you have something that you are truly good at and love doing? Do you have a hobby? Is there a subject that you know a lot about? If so, you have a good beginning point.

You can write an ebook detailing how to implement what you do or make short step-by-step videos demonstrating the process. You can blog about your expertise and put it into book form at a later date.

Drive Traffic to Your Product

Once you have your product you can sell it through your site. Join some safelists and traffic exchanges so you will have places to advertise. You will need a LCP (lead capture page) to get peoples’ name and email to start building a list. These will be filtered through a funnel via an autoresponder. As you are building your list, you are posting valuable content on your blog at least once a week. Less often will get you nowhere as far as an online presence is concerned.

You must be prepared to be “in” for the long haul, as things usually do not happen quickly. It takes patience, persistence, and perseverance as with any business. If you have money to invest, your progress can happen faster, but you can also lose a lot of money, especially if you are a newcomer to online business. There is a learning curve, so do not be too hasty. Check things out before diving in.

Setting up an online presence, creating a product to sell, and driving prospects to that product are the basics for making money online. If you are willing to do the work and stay the course, following these three keys to online success will help.

4 Tips for Digitally Marketing Your Home Business

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

Digital marketing is the promotion of products or brands by one or more forms of electronic media. Unlike traditional marketing, digital marketing involves channels and methods that enable you to analyze marketing campaigns and understand what is working and what is not, in real time.

Building a strong foundation for your marketing is all important. In order to be successful with digital advertising, you must have the essential digital foundations in place before you can be successful with digital advertising. Here are four tips for digitally marketing your home business.

Branding

Before promotion comes branding. You must know what your niche is or what it is you want to convey to readers. Then you can build a website, social media presence, ad campaign, and other marketing materials to all match and work together to build brand awareness. You will then have a consistent look when you are ready to advertise.

Web Site

A website is your most important tool. It gives a first impression of what you and your company or home business are all about. It should be well organized and easy to navigate.

Prospective clients or customers will expect you to have a social media presence on which you consistently interact and where you share and provide content. You need to make sure you have social media presences on the main social media channels you want/need to be on. You do not need millions of visitors and you only need to be on a few channels.

SEO

SEO and keyword analysis are important to getting visitors to your site. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing) are all about getting your website recognized on the first page of Yahoo!, Bing, or Google search engine results when clients search for relevant keywords or phrases.

By optimizing your pages based on the content you are writing, and other key strategies, you leave no doubt as to what you are about to the search engines. For a healthy web presence build your website in a way that promotes positive search rankings, thus building your reputation and establishing your brand as a leader in your industry.

Landing Pages

Landing pages are a must in your campaigns. They are a way to direct your visitors to the information or product they are seeking. It is like a street sign pointing the way. It is calling them to sign up to check out your offer and buy. If you have no landing page, visitors to your website can become confused and then click away from your page and you lose them forever.

Know your niche, have a well-organized website, use SEO and well-designed landing pages, and set up your campaigns. These Four Tips for Digitally Marketing Your Home Business should help bring you marketing success.

3 Tips on Internet Marketing Training

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

Running a website is a great if it is not just a general site. Your site needs to have a particular focus on a specific aspect of a particular niche. Once you have decided what to focus on set up your site, get it online and start directing people to it. Here are three tips on internet marketing training.

1) Instant Success

There are claims daily about how easily and quickly someone became rich online, but what is not mentioned is what it took to gain that success. It took a dream and commitment. Internet marketing takes work.

If you have never done business online and are now considering it, you might want to think about investing in some training and coaching before jumping in. Take a few days to check out some systems and coaches so that you have 24-hour access to needed information and assistance.

2) Bright Shiny Objects

Do not let every new program or system advertised throw you off course. There are hundreds online and new ones coming out every day touting the “get-rich-quick” scheme or the “we-do-all-the-work” thing. Your success is dependent upon your own efforts and you need to be in control. Stay focused on what you want to achieve.

3) Advertising

You do not need to be everywhere online, just where your traffic is. When you start online you will most likely be a one-person operation. All the work will be done by you. If you set up a blog, you will be writing all the posts unless you hire a writer. You will be doing all the advertising, and you may have a limited budget. To get free traffic you must view others’ ads for credits to send out mailings. Social media sites are great if they fit into your plan. Who will do the posting? These are just a few considerations.

Growing a list of subscribers is great, although it’s not the ‘be all’, ‘end all’ of Internet marketing. Having a list and communicating with those people can gain you many buyers and in the end, many friendships.

Be clear about your message (niche), your brand, and your offer. Continue learning more and more about your niche and put it out there in clear and concise content. As things are forever changing, your learning will be ongoing. Keep in mind these Three Tips on Internet Marketing Training.

Three Tips for Marketing Success

by Rahimah Sultan

photo from blog

In today’s ever-changing marketplace, it is not enough to have a website. A successful home business requires online marketing strategies the same as an offline business. For your marketing success you must engage in effective marketing to get new customers. In order to achieve your business goals you must establish a budget and master online marketing skills. Here are three tips for marketing success.

1) Your website must be search engine optimized. Search engine optimization (SEO) is a long-term marketing strategy. It is important to have your blog and web pages fully search engine optimized for getting free, targeted traffic from the search engines. Keyword research and use as well as quality incoming links are essential for this to be a successful online marketing strategy.

2) Another long-term strategy is link building. Having incoming links is critical to your marketing success online. Search engines rank your site higher based on the number of good incoming links pointing to it. There are many techniques for building incoming links to your site. One way is writing for article directories.

You want to publish articles in the largest publications that you can, because they get you links when other webmasters use your article on their sites. This is known as syndication. There is a resource box included at the end of your article where you can add your information and your website. This gets you one-way backlinks to your site. You only need to write for a couple of the largest directories. I suggest Ezine Articles directory.

3) Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC) is a strategy that will yield fast results, although it requires a financial investment. You should educate yourself about PPC before using it, as you can lose large amounts of money in a very few days. You must be very careful and track each ad promotion, to identify the strategies that get the best results. This will enable you to invest wisely.

Driving traffic to your site is essential for long term success. Hopefully, these Three Tips for Marketing Success help you in your online business.
